Surprise! Saratoga Warrior won a $40,000 claimer at Aqueduct in his second start. Ran so poorly in his first race that they dropped him in class–I thought they were trying to dump him. However he was not claimed and he did win!
Now: Was it the drop in class or did he suddenly decide to be a racehorse, or some combination of those two?
Anyway, I am $1.85 richer. Yahoo.

I am hoping Warrior was just green in that first race, and he still looked a little green today having the sticky lead swap. Ready for his and Twist’s next outings, in due course. Glad Warrior was not claimed!I

Dylan definitely won that race for us. SW was being a total green bean the entire race, but he looked like things were finally starting to click as he motored home.

Caldera hasn’t raced yet, but his first three breezes on arrival at the track were a bullet, a bullet, and a 2nd rank for the day, all under no pressure at all. This could be a good one. Probably will premier this fall at Churchill.

STG is going in the BC Mile.
Either race (Mile or Classic) looks to be pretty salty.
I was slightly hoping they’d point him towards the Classic.
Regardless, I’ll be rooting for him.

HTK got her name as a foal, when she kicked out at the vet.
Next time the vet was a the barn, they stated “here’s the kicker”. It stuck… sort of.
MRH did try to change her name, but the first few names they submitted (from a naming contest) all were rejected by the JC. She needed to be named, since she had an upcoming race, so they just kept HTK.
For those who might have the information. There is talk on Caldera’s owners page that he tossed his jockey today before the race. True or false? He seemed to be behaving when I was watching the race on TV.
He got squished in a crowd of horses behind the gate, reared & Ramon hopped off for a moment, before getting right back on.
Not sure if it’s true… someone said another horse that was acting up, tried to take a nip at Caldera & that set things off.
