She ran a MUCH IMPROVED 2nd, after nearly landing on her nose out of the gate.
She definitely seemed to like the added distance & change to dirt.

Sweet As Sin races tonight
Well that was quite the letdown. Acted up in the gate, but broke well. Couldn’t hang with the top flight, hung mid pack & faded to finish last.

Simply Enchanting is up against it today.
Breaks from post 11 & over a sloppy track.
Best of luck to her.
For her first race off the layoff & first time in the slop, she looked pretty good.
Broke well, had to hustle to get up front & over to save ground. Got a little tired at the end, but fought to hang on for 4th.
Should set her up nicely for her next race.

If you’re not a shareholder, you can make a virtual stable on Equibase & add whatever horses you want to follow on there.
Results will show placings, split times, claims, etc.
MRH Retail With a Purpose is having their first auction for 2025.

Elite Heat was a scratch, as the race came off the turf.
Fireball Birdie was 4th. Ran much better than his last time out, just came up against some back racing luck. He was NOT claimed.
Caldera broke his maiden very easily. Blinkers definitely helped sharpen his focus.
Sweet Voyage was a rather disappointing 8th. Not sure what is going on with her. Expect another class drop next time out.
Time Is Magic had terrible luck all the way around. Finishing 8th.

Hero Status had his first start for his new ownership after being claimed away. 9th of 9 with no apparent excuses.
Based on how he ran, I’m guessing he bled again.

That seems the most likely explanation. He’s never shown himself to be a quitter, though Mike Smith did say once that he can take some figuring out and definitely has his preferences.

Yep. The STG owners got an email about it the other day, giving us a short early window to buy in before it went public.
Is it going to be a big money maker… well considering how horses are horses 
But I still bought in for the enjoyment & fun of it all.
Thankfully I still had quite a bit of money left in my account from STG & SNC 
They already have already shared video & photos of Community Adjusted & her filly (just 4 days old now).
Miss American Pie won at Aqueduct today in her second start, $74,000 purse, Maiden Special Weight for New York-Breds I bought a share in the 5 horse New York Bred bundle, which included her.
I love her name–she is by Maclean’s Music.

There’s quite a few runners coming up starting with Sweet Voyage on Thursday.
Caldera makes his Stakes debut in the Sunland Derby.
While not one of the deeper derby preps, it should give us an idea of how/where he fits in.
As long as the (late) ship in & elevation change negatively impacts his performance.
I was really hoping they’d have sent him early enough to get at least one work over the surface in.
