Sweet Voyage won going away, after a nice stalking trip.

Madame Secretary won easily on the lead.

Saratoga Warrior was a late vet scratch (minor leg irritation).

Intellectual was a complete no show on his debut & basically jogged around the track. Racing may not be his thing :woman_shrugging:

Chasing Time completely blew the start. The horse next to him was acting up quite a bit & looked like CT didn’t get a chance to settle before the gates opened. It happens, but not really a way to recover in a 6f sprint.
Really hoping they can find him a 7f or 1 turn mile next, without needing to wait months & months for a race to fill.

I think Intellectual needs a new job.

Yay Madame Secretary! Though I completely forgot she was running so missed it. LOL

Elite Heat came in 7th in her 2025 debut. Although she was only beaten by 2 lengths.
Being only her 2nd career race (her last start back on 11/23/24) I’m hoping she comes out with a bit more education.
She didn’t seem to like HARD turf at Gulfstream & may prefer a bit more distance next time out.

Oaklawn cancelled the rest of today due to weather. Fireball Birdie & Simply Enchanting’s races cancelled.

So close for Calerda at the Sunland Derby. Very proud of his gutsy race.

He ran impressively.
He just broke his maiden last time out.
First time going up against winners, let alone a Stakes level race.
Broke slow, was hung wide on the first turn, made a 6 wide move on the last turn, then had a bit of the greenies dueling for the lead.
Even with all that, he still almost managed to get the win.

I am so excited to see what he brings in his next race.

We were there and he lost by a nod - just a fraction of a difference in his stride and he would’ve won. He galloped past the finish looking great.

Before the race he was exceptionally calm, with a beautiful soft eye, during his time in the paddock. His people kept him walking steadily round and round, got him saddled and blinkered swiftly, kept him walking. They seemed to know him well and treated him gently, with a lot of attention. Nice to see.

I think he learned a lot today.

Yes!! She looked good!!

Unfortunate it’s so hard to be able to watch, but Mark was nice enough to live stream the race in the owners group.

Fireball Birdie… ugh. He just can’t get a decent ride or some racing luck to go his way.
Thomas Amoss claimed him. Maybe he’ll have better luck with him.
ETA: claim was voided.

Caldera is targeting the LA Derby on March 22nd.

Miss American Pie is expected to be entered for race 7 on March 21st at Aqueduct.

Here’s The Kicker is entered for race 7, March 8th at Gulfstream.

Sweet As Sin is racing at Oaklawn, March 8th, race 6.
