I can’t say for certain. I know there were several times when I went to ride, she had to leave to meet parents. But I can’t say for certain who transported them. There are enough wonderful people in this world, that I sure if some children needed a ride, someone would take out the time to help.[/QUOTE]
Let me see if I understand this…You were on the farm, riding, and Britney left to meet parents. Did she meet them and bring the “inner city kids” to the farm herself? or did she meet them and they followed her back to the farm? So in either case, you would have to have known who transported them- either Britney or the parent (s)…especially if it happened, and I quote, “several times”

what “inner city” i saw where she lives and it’s in the middle of BFE

ok guys, you may have alread asked this, but just in case I missed it in reading this thread:

Why doesn’t MorganM, spokesperson for this woman, post pix of all the good looking horses at the farm so everyone can see how wonderful they are?

And she can right now post all the pix of the 4 is it, that she has adopted/leased from there, and copies of her contracts with her friend.

Seems reasonable to me. Put up or…

And of course if the 2 horses owned by one poster are deceased, a veterinary certificate from the attending vet will suffice to show the horses were either put down or treated for an illness before death.

Or maybe there are “adoption” papers on those 2 horses?

cloudyandcallie

Okay I have already said MorganM does not want to play anymore, will not even answer PM’s. So I think she has SHUT UP.
And I think I made a comment about the deceased horses, as to “proof”.
I am not yelling at you, callie, don’t get me wrong. You have great ideas. I just don’t think they will happen.
But keep on posting. Ask the questions I just don’t think you will get any answers from B. [edit]

yeah i told her i wanted proof of their death and i wanted to see my pony with my own 2 eyes and she totaly stoped talking to me, now i dont know what to do !!!

Report

A fiend of mine was at Sugar Creek Auction this week. Saw a Black mare claimed to be a 10 yr old breeding stock paint mare, no papers. White on face, scar on leg, quiet. Left there to be run through by the sale people.
Sounds like my friends horse from B. Do not know this for a fact. But maybe she dumped instead of dealing with B, since she is untruthful, and promises things she does not deliver. I can not prove this as I have not talked to friend for a week or so and cannot get ahold of her.
But sometimes “piont” can mean alot. As in piss me off, I don’t want an unregistered horse, when I was to get reg. papers. Take my loses, but won’t go back to B.

What you DON’T want to do is give up! You DO want to file a report with the Ohio Attorney Generals Office and give them all the details. They will mediate and hopefully resolve your issue. If it is not resolved to your satisfaction, they can forward you to other options. Now, EVERYONE ELSE directly involved should do the same thing- don’t brush this under the rug and leave her door open to possibly do the same to others. It is a matter of principle at this point. Again, this will create a paper trail and show a pattern of questionable business practices, which is what is needed to see that justice is served to all the honest people out there. Granted, in hindsight you all can see what the warning signs were, but hearts were worn on the sleeve because you wanted to believe the best, and things didn’t turn out positively. Unfortunate, but don’t let it be in vain.

Swampskeeter

Would love to know for sure…I would have to agree with the decision not to let her have the horse back- sad, but the sale would be the lesser of two evils. Just FYI, the “bill of sale” I saw on another horse was so full of errors that ya’ might as well wipe yer butt with it- that’s about all it’s good for. The spelling errors were awful and she totally contradicted herself from one paragraph to the next. [edit]

i dont know what to do…i need to file a what with who ??? i want to know what happened to my horses and my pony, i need to know for the pice of mind ya know. it isnt fair that she gets to do this to people and i sit and i think to myself i wonder how many other people gave their horses to her for a forever retirement home then she turned around and did who knows what with them. it makes me sick that there are people out there in the world like that. animals are not objects to be pushed around they are members of the family just like my sister, brother, mom , and dad. Ohio Atty General’s Office

Apparently our Miss Britney has a prior complaint with the Ohio Atty General’s Office. Not bad for being a whopping 24 years old…

AGO of Ohio report 7/26/2006- Consumer: Daniel Mefford, CPA, MBA, FACMPE, email DMefford@ThePracticeResource.com.
In a nutshell, he bought one stallion, one pregnant mare, paid $8000 for both. Mare was vet checked, confirmed pregnancy, but no guarantees of live foal. In May 2006, filly was born. He was contacted June 2006 to pay additional $450 for seller’s signature in order to register the filly. Contract for sale included all rights to mare and baby, no terms for additional fees at baby’s birth was discussed orally or in writing. APHA requires sellers signature to register horse. Seller refuses to sign breeders certificate to allow registration without payment of $450. She says “in a good faith gesture and do to the continueing harrassment of Mr. Mulford, I wanted to end this. He is continuely wanting a power struggle and doesn’t want to settle this matter. He would prefer to continue the fight till the end.” Anything in this sound remotely familiar??

Brit Le Brand Farm

Happened to run across this thread, and thought I’d put my 2 cents in as well. I was a customer of Britney. I bought a pregnant horse and the stallion which sired the baby she was carrying. The bill of sale said I had all rights to the horses. However, when I went to register the baby a year later, Britney refused to sign the papers, saying I owed her more money for the “papers”. The signature required was simply one that said she was the owner of the stallion when the mare was bred. Many breeders use this as leverage to get paid a breeding fee in a legitimate sale of stud services. I filed a complaint with the local Better Business Bureau, who ultimately decided in my favor. Since they have no authority, they suggested I contact the state of Ohio Attorney General for enforcement. I guess Britney decided not to fight it any more when they contacted her, because she finally signed the papers and sent them to me. So, while it took me a bit of time, there are procedures that will work to protect the buyers. But with this one, “Buyer beware”.

Thank You!! for comong forward and posting your “transaction”. Hopefully it will help.

Trailqueen,
Would love to know for sure…I would have to agree with the decision not to let her have the horse back- sad, but the sale would be the lesser of two evils. I know what you wean about spelling etc. [edit]

Also new report. Has nothing to do with B, just thought I would throw it in here.
Wooster Sale Ohio, Friend was there only saw part.
GOOD riding horse only bringing $600 to $700 ish.
Nice futurity weanling couple hundred.
Some stuff going for $35, $40.
Things are bad, people are dumping horses.
So my piont is. Why deal with B’s “adoption” when you can go to your local sale and pick up GOOD stock, that you “own” And not have to deal with her crap. Right now there are soooo many horses out there. Prices are bad, economys bad. Go to the sales and save the good ones.

Okay I am done with my rant. I would like to kick my friends butt for dealing with B. Sorry I am angry right now.

Checking in

Just wanted to check in and see how things were going… this thread gets longer by the day thats for sure… I keep an eye on all posts but I guess I am too outspoken as the mod doesnt like what I have to say… Oh well… you all know how I feel about “MorganM” … uh I mean “B”. Any ads spotted by the B lately?

she totaly stoped all contact with me what so ever so i know nothing new…keep hoping she lets my pony out in the yard to be seen by someone lol
