believe me, we have tried. There is an extensive file of complaints about Britney and her operation with the Coshocton County Sheriff’s office, I don’t know if/when they will take any action. If you go to the various sites like Dreamhorse, equine.com, etc., their rules say the only way to complain is to file a report on Ripoff.com (which several of us have done). That’s why this thread was started, and will continue, so that if anybody is thinking about doing business with this chick, they will find the threads and the various complaints. Unfortunately, this is a buyer-beware world…

not that this info is anything new but i thought i would have some input in this thread too… i have been watching for a while now…have known the sturz family a long time ( don’t want to admit it but we are now family) … they come across very sweet and caring and in some ways are… but never i repeat NEVER take anything they say seriously…her post may come up anon, any of the following first names beth, julie, brandon, tom, britney , blb, brit le’ brand… with mckee or sturtz as a last name… oh yeah… the first name judy could also be in there… and yes britney will tell you she has relatives everywhere, thus trying to scare you from making a complaint… an uncle in the sheriffs office… an aunt who is humane officer, and several others… BUT these people do not associate with her … anyone who has a problem really should contact the coshocton sheriffs office… britney has only grown up to be the way her mother has taught her to be… bs sibling has turned to criminal activities to get away and she unfortunatley has turned into her mother… and no matter what you say or do it will be you in the wrong… they really truly believe they are right in every aspect… like i said they come off extremely sweet and innocent … you can be looking at something black and they will convince you it is white and they will believe it too… i know i am jumping way around here but a few other points… b has never had any part in any therapy program for any children… there is a great one in coshocton as previously mentioned… higher hopes and they absolutley have no correspondance or any dealings with b…and the reason “her” vets can’t see the horses… none of the locals ( and even a few of the bordering county vets) will even treat any of her animals anymore… they don’t want to deal with her… and yes there are always adds in the cosh tribune for her horses and dogs … she is a breeder… not a rescue operation… and she is definatley not non-profit… you know i almost feel bad for her… all the people who she thinks are her friends talk about her and her family doesn’t talk to her unless they have too… i feel sorry for everyone who has had misdealings with her and i feel sorry for her and pray that she finds the right path and gets help for her obvious mental issues…

sorry i know it is long i should have said something before now but wanted to stay out of it… just had to vent about her …

Anyone seen the latest dreamhorse ads? Did she take “Julie M” off as the contact for the wooster horses? Looks like Britney added two “new” ones there and still has the dun colt under the warsaw address. According to her ads in the paper, it sounded like she was trying to “downsize” because she is “in college”. Does she not know what “downsize” means, or is it her way of pressuring the unsuspecting into buying…

Contract for sale included all rights to mare and baby, no terms for additional fees at baby’s birth was discussed orally or in writing. APHA requires sellers signature to register horse. Seller refuses to sign breeders certificate to allow registration without payment of $450. She says “in a good faith gesture and do to the continueing harrassment of Mr. Mulford, I wanted to end this. He is continuely wanting a power struggle and doesn’t want to settle this matter. I went the the Attorney General website and did multi searches and was unable to find a copy of the report filed against her. I REALLY could use this report, can you tell me where to or how to get a copy? PLEASE.

“Citizen Protection” > “Protecting Consumers” > " Search Business Names for Complaints" > All you have to type in is “Brit Le Brand Farm” (case sensitive) and it will bring the name of the farm up. I don’t think you can view it on the website, but you can request a copy of the complaint and it doesn’t cost anything (even though they say they charge for it). I think it takes about 14 days to get it.

Unfortunately due to their poor health problems Velvet and Smarty have passed away. This was very sad and heart breaking for myself and family. I am in the process of helping a friend get her mattered resolved with her purchase contract. Brit has scammed her and continues in the same rantings, threats and third party referrences and one year later, nothing is resolved.

She’s contacted the sherrif, the AG, BBB, former horse owner. I’ve sent out some requests to a few people here who have been burned to see if I can mail them a complaint package, to add more evidence to the case.

If anyone has any former ads, or any documentation of them claiming to be therapuetic, please contact me right away. If anyone has donated their horse and has that in writing, please contact me. We are going to communicate, follow up and follow through to make sure the crap stops here!

It would be great if I could locate the former owner of the horse “Halo” that I “adopted/purchased” from Britney. It’s important to me to know the real history on the horse and confirm that he was not obtained by Britney under fraudulent terms. I remember she dropped her case against Hampshire when he had a supena her ownership records. If I can figure out how to I’ll post Halo’s picture. By the way–I gave the Coshocton Sheriff’s Office copies of every correspondence I had with Britney-it was a book! So I know they do have info.

I know the gentleman I spoke to in the sheriff’s office told me he was organizing all the information sent to him and forwarding it on to the prosecuter. Then their office would determine whether or not they could pursue the case.

I haven’t spoke with them directly. My friend has. I would assume so.

I’m just trying to gather up as much info as I can in the process.
