Anyone buy? sell? adopt? from Brit Le'Brand Farm Warsaw Ohio?

You may e-mail me personally and I can supply documentation. My e-mail is dkgqhs@yahoo.com My organization “donated” four horses to her program.

JumperBreeder-new ads on dreamhorse

Does this ad sound familiar? I know the age is different than the one you looked at, but if buyers aren’t getting the proper paperwork, who knows?
WOOSTER, Ohio
1998 Hanoverian Filly (Bay) $22,000
OUTSTANDING PEDIGREE AND SHOW RECORD
The ad says she’ll lease for $200/mo if you don’t want to buy.
She also has a Belgian Draft horse that is just “unbelievable” according to the ad. Rides english or western, and can pull a sleigh (or a plow in Amish country!)
Again I ask…if one is “downsizing”, why would you keep coming up with more horses to sell? That right there should tell prospective buyers something.

i e-mailed you a complete discription of my horses…is that what you wanted or didnt you get it ? i dunno, i have been going through a lot of personal things and couldnt get online for a bit. i am at a total loss as to what to do about my horses. i am almost 90% sure she dont have my pony like she said she did and as for my mares, i dont think i’ll ever know. someone PLEASE HELP ME !!! if i dont answer here then PLEASE call me 814-7896-8225 or 724-372-2208 then i can talk to you and tell you in detail my story.

here is my story again…

well almost 2 years ago i had 3 horses…2 horses and a pony actually…i had had these horses all my childhood…i was 23 @ the time…so these horses were not just horses to me, they were my best friends, i dont recall a memory of mine that dont include them in it. i didnt have friends or boyfriends, i had my horses and all i did was go ridding ALL the time, well the mares started to have seaziors…we had the vet out dozens of times and they were on meds and getting tested and all kinds of stuff. my ex husband (husband at the time) got into trouble while i was on vacation seeing my brother graduate from the marines…long story short that asshole caused me to lose my house and i had no ware for my girls to go…my vet finally cleared them for travel, so i listed an add for them looking for a retirement home…thats when brittney answered my add…she said she had a ridding program for autistic children and would provide them with a forever home…well i delivered them to her and we made a verbal agreement that she would keep in touch with me and keep me updated about them, that she would never sell them and i could come see them whenever i wanted and she would never seperate them. i reluctently left my girls and pony there and made my 4 hr. drive home crying my eyes out. i mean this wasnt an easy thing for me to do. we’re talking about horses i had for 23 years…the one mare my parents got 6 mo. b4 i was born…lifetime friends…well for the first week she talked to us like 3 times then all the sudden the calls stoped, she wouldnt return my calls or my moms calls…i mean we tried for about 1 1/2 years and got nothing, i moved around and lost her address and left messages saying i needed directions and still nothing…well i now come to find out this lady takes in horses then sells… well “adopts” these horses out and then requires regular updates and forwards those updates to the origional owners, and she does not have a ridding program or anything like that, she told me that to get my horses from me…so naturally i started investigating and found out the police are trying to build a case agenst her and i’m left high and dry not knowing where my girls and pony are…she said my girls passed away and my pony is still there, but a reliable source (cant be named) told me not to beleave that b/c of the rep she has…she told me she has my pony but i cant go see him but she will mail pics, which is what she is known for doing, so thats my story and where i’m at rite now. trying to find someone to pretend they are looking for a horse so they can go see if my girls and/or pony are still there or if ther are gone form there. or something to try to find out where my childhood friends are at…i dunno if you are someone who really did give horses to her or if you are someone on her side, but if you gave her horses, they prob arent still there, but she does find good homes for them so thats a pluse…hope to hear your thoughts .

Good homes?

but she does find good homes for them so thats a pluse

How do you know she finds good homes for all of them? Maybe the unusable ones wind up at Sugar Creek:no: Your mares could have wound up steaks!! Yum Yum.
She produces no records where these horses go.

i try to hope for the best in my case…i have no idea what she does with all the horses…like i said i hate that psyco and she needs stoped but there is nothing i can do about it, my agreement was all verbal and my word agenst hers…shes a good talker.

Good homes

Okay so we all know she is in it for the $ not the luv of horses. So someone donates to her, she can’t “adopt” it out, what do you think she does with it?
I dought it is sitting down there on “her” farm. Say hello KB. That is your “forever” home:yes: Couple hundred $ in her pocket. Former owner, “Who are you?” “Don’t bother me.”

Sweet buisness maybe I should get in on this.

If a group of you get together, those of you who donated horses to her or who have adopted from her, and file a class action lawsuit, your legal fees will be split between you (and you can get them back if your lawsuit is successful) and your cases will get more attention from a judge.

I’t s hard to do things individually, but if a group gets together, maybe you can get the horses out of there and get her out of business–plus get some money back.

Please Help!!

I donated my horse to Brit Le’Brand farms a year ago. I just stumbled on this thread and was horrified. Up until now, I assumed my horse was living his days out on her farm. I honestly do not have a problem if she “adopted” him out to someone or even sold or leased him, as long as she was honest about his health issue. She and I had no written contract. Tucker was a grade Tennesse Walker gelding with no show experience or any other attributes that would make him desireable to anyone. He was just my wonderful trail horse. He suffered from EPM and had a residual stumbling issue, making him unsuitable for much other than riding on flat ground or in an arena. I believed her when she told me that she had a riding program and I thought he would be perfect for that with his gentle personality. I am now freaking out wondering what became of him. I have not continued to follow him with her as I honestly believe that once you relinquish a horse, you must move on… but seeing all this has really made me panic! If anyone has any information on a black Tennessee Walker gelding (name Tucker)… please let me know. Or if anyone reading this “adopted” him and was not informed of his issue… PLEASE contact me. I am located in Spartanburg South Carolina. My email address is ashleynovak1@hotmail.com. I appreciate any information. I am devasted that this person, who sounded so sincere on the phone, would lie about having a riding program. I guess I am feeling guilty for sending my horse blindly to someone. I suppose I was desperate and of course that is what people like her pray on. Anyway, thanks to anyone who can assist me.

attorneys in ohio

In addition to Bill Kobel at the Coshocton County Sheriff Office, anybody interested in locating a lawyer can check for lawyer referrals with the Columbus Bar Association (link is cbalaw.org) and also the Ohio Bar association (link is ohiobar.org). Coshocton County is small enough that I would recommend not trying to find someone who would be willing to take on any actions against her. Also you may be able to file a complaint with the Ohio Attorney General Office consumer protection division, and also look at contacting the humane society (tho’ her relative is the head of humane society in Coshocton) and the better business bureaus in the area (Cambridge and New Philadelphia are probably closest cities w/ a BBB). I have a sinking feeling that justice for this family will be in the next world.

FYI

Chris Sturtz, associated with the Humane Society in Coshocton, is only related to Britney, Beth and Tom by name through marriage. If there are any complaints against them, she would probably have to step aside and let someone else handle it. I’m pretty sure she would not do them any favors (from what I’ve heard, due to Tom and Beth’s own financial obligations to Chris and her husband that have not been fulfilled:winkgrin:), and her integrity should not be questioned by anyone. Chris is an awesome person and extremely fair. Don’t hesitate to contact her.

dont feel guilty…i have been beating myself up for going on 5 years now over the same thing, i sent 3 of mine to her thinking the same thing and i am still trying to locate any 1 of them…i felt the same way, that it was my fault for god knows what might have happened to my horses, but i keep telling myself that i did what i thought was rite and never dreamed that someone would do something like that to my girls and pony. like yours all 3 had health issues making them not rideable and who knows what she did with them…n e way if you need to talk give me a yell amanda.custer@hotmail.com i know your pain :frowning:

Sorry I did not get back with you. I think I may have a mutual friend involved who has already spoken with you. Thank you for your concern and offer.
