Anyone buy? sell? adopt? from Brit Le'Brand Farm Warsaw Ohio?

This and that…
oh yeah and what did the QH look like that you got off of here and when was it…if you dont mind my asking…thanks
I got Annie from her in March of 2007…she is a dark bay with a blaze on her face and two white socks. You can see pics of her on barrelhorse.com
I understand that a lot of you are upset with her and I know you have your reasons. I just felt that she had left me with the impression that she does try to give her horses good homes. If I wrong that’s fine, it was just how I feel.

Also I would like to clear up what I said about she wasn’t what she was supposed to be. By this I mean I thought she was supposed to be bred to run barrels but after having her for awhile and really getting to know the horse and what training had been done with her previously, I found that the mare was better suited for western pleasure not barrels. It doesn’t mean I love my mare any less.

So, if the horse was transferred to Stacey in 2008 and it’s in her name, how does she still have to abide by an adoption contract? She owns the horse and B should no longer be involved, right? I certainly hope Stacey isn’t giving her money every month for the “adoption”. We know B reads this blog. She was on awhile back under the name “Morgan B” trying to defend herself. B is a girl who has always gotten what she wanted no matter what, plain and simple. Very spoiled. Never told “no” or been made to hold down a job and be responsible like most of us who’ve actually grown up to make an honest living. I never thought she was a bad person, just the product of her environment. The apple don’t fall far from the tree. Hope she wakes up from her (not so perfect) dreamworld pretty soon.
No I do not give her monthly payments any longer. The adoption contract itself isn’t what I’m upset about. It was the extra money for the papers. She was nice enough to let me make payments for the adoption contract for a year. However going into it I was under the impression that it included her reg. papers but come to find out it didn’t. Well after I found that out she told me I had to pay the extra for the papers. The actual adoption contract wasn’t that big of a deal. I don’t mind sending her pics four times a year. Actually I enjoy showing her how happy and heathly she actually is.

Since money seems to be the driving force, and we have established she reads this forum I am sending out a request for Miss B to tell me how much money it would take to let me know what happened to my horses I entrusted to her. Just curious if I can afford what it would take for me to have some peace of mind over this.

$1500 for papers–scam

Britney also offered to sell me an untatooed (supposedly a thoroughbred) gelding’s registration papers for $1500. “as a privilege” to me as she put it. I had no use for them on an untatooed gelding. Let’s get down to the fact of the matter- it’s nothing more that getting money from people-registration papers do not cost that and her misrepresentation that they do is a lie. After hearing from the above poster-- obviously it’s a fraud she does regularly. Another one of her many “deceitful routines” She comes off sweet and I pray she’ll change but buyer beware–she’s out to get you!

I AGREE !!! Tell me how much it will take for me to know what happened to my 2 girls and pony and i’ll pay it, i NEED to know what happened to them and if it takes paying you for info B then so be it !!

well miss b wins again…got my papers from ohio att. gen. office…they made me cry when i read them. i must say she is good at what she does…she twists the truth and bold faced lied in them, i’m happy to share with anyone who wants to read them via e-mail…just let me know…so on with my quest, i am at the point now where i have to hire a lawyer to take her to court and all to find out where my pony is and to see him again. i dont get it, she acts like i want him back and that isnt the case at all, i just want to see him and know that he is ok. so thats where i am at rite now.

Sorry Mandy,
She did the same to my friend. I know she would do it to you too.

Also I emailed barrelchick. Guess she decided to zip it. Never replied. For her to say on her blog she is happy to talk, things turned around quickly. She is in B’s pocket:yes:

Sad

And you know what this stuff happens in all aspects of life. I am going through some stuff right now that is very similar. Not really horse related. Well it will be when I loose my job and can’t keep them:cry:

But certain people are bullies. And no matter what you do or say, no one what’s to hear/listen to the truth. They just hear the twisted stories and lies. When you want answers to questions? They just sweep you under the rug:no: Doesn’t even matter if you are a good worker, a producer, they just skwish you like an ant:mad:

Sorry guys I just had to rant:mad::mad::mad:

WOW

Wow I get racked over the coals and talked about just because I didn’t check my messages last night. Wow my feeling are really hurt.

Sorry to hear about the att gen. It doesn’t surprise me.

Ohhhh

The emails that you sent I had forgotten to check that one. I have two. I am working on responding to them now.

barrelchick

Okay thank you for your reply. I did not mean to really attack you, but when you sound like you are defending someone like B it angers me:mad::mad:

So I would like to tell the other posters. Barrelchick got back to me. I feel bad for her too. For falling into B’s crap.

let’s not be discouraged from alerting those in authority

I’m sorry for Mandy and to everyone who went to the trouble of filing complaints and the AGO not deciding in their favor. However, let’s not be discouraged! It’s the right thing to do to try and alert the proper authorities. I’m certain the records of such complaints are kept on file. Eventually, truth will win out! The contracts are bad enough–but signing makes them your problem. The registration paper scam-an outright lie–but no one is forced to purchase them. BUT obtaining horses like Mandy’s under fraudulent terms…those in authority should intervene immediately. Are you certain the response you receive is actually from the AGO office and not from BLB and Britney herself trying to make it appear as from the AGO?..she does put quite a bit of effort into deceit…
But win or lose at least we’ve been able to raise the caution flag through the platform of COTH and hopefully others will read and heed the warning…

Can no longer just be a reader…
As far as I know it doesn’t cost that for quarter horse papers. However, Arabians are very expensive. I love my horse very much and I wouldn’t give her back she means the world to me. However, I must state that Britney isn’t a horrible person I do think she does try to give her horses a good home.

And Britney I know your reading this I wish you hadn’t made all these people so angry I do think you are a nice person in general. I don’t know why you had to treat them so horrible if it is indeed true. However, I am glad I got Annie and you know she is truly happy and very healthy. I will continue my contract as stated and I hope that you can work things out with these other people so they will no longer need to have a thread bashing your business or your horses.

Yes people she does read these threads…
Greetings all,

I have followed this thread since its’ early days, but this post is the preverbial, “straw that broke the camel’s back”… I must break my silence.

Barrel Chick, let me guess…you are a very nice person who wouldn’t intentionally have a confrontation with anyone. You go out of your way to get along with everyone and are in the twenty-something age bracket. You are also very concerned about the feelings of others. Please understand I’m not picking on you, only using your situation to make a point. B uses the age old angle of “loving and caring” as a tool of her deception. She may have wanted to “give her horses a good home” in the beginning, but now they are dollar signs. It shouldn’t take Sherlock Holmes to figure out that those of you who have “donated” horses to her “rescue”, have donated to her college fund.

What B is doing fall’s into that gray area of theft. Gray, only because it is very difficult to prosecute. The key word in any criminal prosecution is “culpability” (intent). Culpability key words are: knowingly, recklessly, negligently, etc. In my mind it is clearly Theft by deception. BC, you have said in a previous post that Annie was not what you thought she would be. What that tells me is B portrayed her to be what you wanted her to be, but later you find out she’s not. If I paint a brick gold and portray it to be gold and sell it at gold prices, that is theft. You are not alone as I have read post after post with the same theme. Bogus registration papers, papers at additional cost, horses alleged to be sound only to find out later they aren’t, and the list goes on. Barrel Chick, she has convinced you that she is a “good person” just as one can say a rattlesnake is pretty. The rattlesnake is pretty until it bites you. B plays the “shell game” with her contracts and threat of “her attorney”…She reminds me of the traveling salesman who sold the “cures everything” tonic.

I’m running out of time this morning, so I shall end with this thought. It has been said on this forum previous that those “duped” by B should join forces. I would urge you folks to truely consider this as an option. I understand the difficulty of this since you are spread out across the country (which obviously is to her benefit). What she is doing is wrong, and she know’s it…I would also be very interested to know what her income tax records would show.

For now…HIGH HO SILVER, AWAY!!!

Additional thought…

Can the registration organizations be made aware of her “indescretions” and block her or sanction her in some way?

Hmmmm…

The associations do not want to get involved. At least that was what I was told.
And I would have to say you have been reading and studying a lot.
Also it wouldn’t be a bad idea…

Lone Ranger

I would say you have really hit the nail on the head:yes:

Barrelchick is correct that the registries don’t want to get involved. Too bad you would think that they wouldn’t like someone passing off fake papers. I would think the reg. doing nothing about that would give them a bad name. But I guess they are big enough they don’t care:no:

Yeah would think they would but they said “they do not have the legal department to handle it, so I would have to hire an attorney”. That was a long time ago when she first told me I had to purchase her papers, I doubt anything has changed.
Any other ideas?

And I am guessing you delt with AQHA? APHA says the same thing, after they have the fraud papers in their hand along with a signed transfer, and a signed affidavit for replacement papers. Then B claimed the forgery card and they said something about not having a signature or writing specacilast(sp?) or whatever you call it. You get the drift. So since B was the last recorded owner, it was up to her what to do with the papers:no: Unless you hire an attorney and take to court.

As barrelchick says. “Any other ideas?”

Funny but APHA had an artical in one of the past journals just recently, on buyer/seller contracts. I did not see it (am to cheap to pay for journal any more) but friend started to read it and got pissed, and quit. She had a signed contract that she was to get papers. Didn’t help her any:mad:

random thought

grey tb back up for lease/adoption or whatever… located in Wooster OH - wouldnt be suprised if this is the same unsound grey that made it to my farm and then back to hers. Watch out!

grey TB

Gosh, isn’t it funny how fast those couple of B’s new ads came off Dreamhorse website??? Oh darn, so sad…

Hope the other horse sale websites have similar policies.
