Anyone buy? sell? adopt? from Brit Le'Brand Farm Warsaw Ohio?
…she once hit a doberman (her “pet”) in the face with a shovel hard enough that she broke its teeth. This dog ended up back at the animal shelter. How sad…
whatever the circumstances, I’m sure it was, according to B, the dog’s fault.

Hi everyone, I just came across this site. I too have dealt with this Britanny. My father gave away two of my horses a few years back to Britany. She claimed that she was using them in her theraputic riding program which is a bunch of crap. She then said that she sent my horses down south because they couldn’t take the cold weather in Ohio. My horse are from PA!!! They have seen cold wetaher!!! Please if anyone knows of or has seen a smaller bay jockey club registered thoroughbred woth a small start and a front and hind sock and a bigger 16hh black and white paint with a roman nose please contact me. I have been so upset for years and knew this whole thing has been a scam. Thank you.
Is this your horse? http://www.equinenow.com/horse-ad-263939

yes, i have emailed her. she sometimes doesn’t get back to me but sometimes does with a picture that is not my horse!! I am insisting on visiting them but she will not give me the info of where they are. She gave me the email of the “friend” she claims that has the horse now. But the email was “equinejumper22”. her equine.com name!!!

No, its not. But I appreciate all the feedback and keeping an eye out for my horses.

Are you kidding me?! did you tell her you knew that was her equine.com name??

Wow is all I can say…

No, she is not going to get back to me after I told her that we are contacting the sheriff’s department and our lawyer. She misrepresented herself and said my horses would have a forever home with her and would be used in her theraputic riding program. You need to be certified to teach theraputic riding… is she really???

Mandy665 Do not give up!! Please!! I am not going to give up and will do whatever I can to prevent this from happening to anyone else and their horses. It was a few years ago that my father gave Britney my horses and only until now am I seeing just how horrible she is!! for years she did a great job of telling nice stories about how my horse helped an emotionally disable child learn to ride… All lies!! She misrepresented herself!! DO NOT GIVE UP!! She needs to be banned from having any equine under her care!!

“Higher Hopes” is the only therapeutic riding center in Coshocton County. Tom and Peggy Roahrig are in charge of it and they and their staff are truly wonderful people who have done amazing things for children in the community. You could always look them up and find out what kind of regulations and training they have to have. I’m sure they would be happy to talk to you, especially if they knew why you were asking;)

certifiable

oh she’s certifiable alright, but not in the therapeutic riding area

do report!

2Horsesmissing–sorry you too are counted among those of us who chose to believe Britney–now all the wiser. That’s why I started this thread in the hopes it will be helpful not only to those of us stung by her but to serve as a warning to those who may be considering doing business with her. I am glad to hear you are following up with the Coshocton Sheriff’s office. I too spoke to the detective and sent copies of every correspondence I had with Ms, Sturtz. Lots of documentation of her lies…It’s important that we all go the extra mile and file our reports–eventually, something will be done. I pray your horses whereabouts are made known.

i gave mine to her in 06, my pony would be 34 and mared would be 30 and 26, i doubt if they are still alive, she told me the mares passed away shortly after i left them with her (have no idea why she never told me this back then) and that she had my pony, this was like 2 years ago. i just want to know what happened, im to the point now where i hope my mares did die after i sent them, it is possible however i doubt it.:frowning:

Hi everyone,

My friend and I are not about to give up on this until something is finally done and some answers are given. We need concrete info that Britney has frauded people…she has to have said one thing, which was not true and done something else. She has to have misrepresented herself intentionally. We are trying to gather notarized letters including contact information and any proof you can send. We really need your help. We are going to call the State Attorney’s Office but need more concrete information. Please if any one is willing to send me a notarized letter stating how she misrepresented herself and your story, as well as your contact information, we really need all the help we can get. Please send this out to any one you know of that has had their heart broken by this person and her “horse dealing”. Thank you and I am so glad to know there are people out there who have tried to stop her and that care about these animals. I’m not sure how to go about giving those who would like to send me a notarized letter my information. I’m not sure I should put the specifics on this site. I look forward to hearing from people. Thanks!

2horsesmissing,
I would suggest that you have them PM you or get regular email addresses or even Facebook/myspace kinda thing if you really want to do this. Be very careful. I caution this more than you know. You can PM me if you would like. Good luck!!!

did anyone call the place she bought the foal from ? obviously dont post in here if you did since she prob still reads these, message me

2 horses I got from her… great horsess, but lots of issues

I think this is the horse she tried to sell me last spring. He was thin and flaky. SHe said he could event with a kid on him, but talked me into something else. It is amazing all of her photos have the same backgroun. and that the flowers would be out of season in most of them. If anyone has any info about a big bay named Shine or a 16+hand guy she called Hunter or Halo Let me know. I did find out some about him, but always looking for more info. She lied about both of them and when I told her I found out real ages she was shocked. He was a tb off the track with a tatoo. really tough

Nov 20, 2008 - Nick is a 9 yr old 17.1 grey TB gelding looking for outstanding rider … ad placed by rocnchoclatdiesel of Coshocton, OH

Flash forward: current (as of today) equine.com ad placed by equinejumper22 of Coshocton, OH:

"This outstanding gelding has a very extensive background in dressage, H/J and low level eventing. Just looking for someone to enjoy and show. No badhabits or vices. Currently unfit due to owner’s time conflicts and college, so he would need time under saddle before asking to jump anything big. Can jump over 3 foot when in shape. … This outstanding gelding can be purchased for $9500 to a wonder but loving situation. Email for more information or with questions. Will sell on payment plan with financing charge. Would consider trade for same value a 3-4 horse gooseneck horse trailer in excellent condition. Owner is downsizing on show horses. Very unique opportunity for someone to get him cheap. Valued at over $25,000.00. New owner responsible for coggins, health certificate, vet fees and shipping fees. "

Let me see…horse for sale for over 16 months, “can jump over 3 foot when in shape”. Can’t ride him if you go for a visit, can’t see B ride him or jump him, so how you gonna verify that he is “valued at over $25,000.00”? In today’s economy?

“Will sell on payment plan with financing charge.” Is that in addition to the interest on the “payment plan”?

Oh, and apparently we’re no longer looking for the “perfect loving family”, now we’re just looking for a “wonder but loving situation”. Hmmm. Owner must be pretty busy at college…

Poor Nick…maybe it’s like “Lost” and he’s living in an alternate universe…poor guy.
I am reading a newer post on Equine now from B about Tuffy. How come all her horses “come back to her in poor/thin shape” Amazing that she has such bad luck.

Well since Annie went back to her, I have to say that mare didn’t go back thin or out of shape. She was gorgeous and the best she’s ever looked, including when I “adopted” her. She just had some major issues that I nor a trainer could overcome. I would say that she would have a hard time feeding all those horses. Maybe not I don’t know…If anyone wants to see before and after pics of Annie here is the link:
http://s967.photobucket.com/albums/ae151/barrelchick00/Annie/

She told me some story that the horse I picked up had been turned out with cows and not fed. That is why he looked so poor. She also said she had seen him like that and picked him right uo, then it changed to she just had gotten him back. It is a shame as she puts it all the horses come back to her in such poor shape. I sense a commonatily to all of it. Most people whe truly care for horses would return them wekk kept. It is under her poor care they are not fed or cared for

I looked at a horse of hers that could barly lunge a circle at a trot he was so thin and sick. I took him home to save him! SHe has to be stopped!!! I figured any life would be better than death with her. She still had a clause saying she had first rite of refuseal if I sold him. He was so sick he almosdied the first day I had him and started feeding him just a lb of grain a day and hay free of choice. What a shame. people like her exist.
