New to legal terms too I see…if it’s written it’s LIBEL. If it’s verbal it’s SLANDER.
If it’s in all caps it’s SHRIEKING AND SCREAMING INSTEAD OF TALKING. And it’s not likely to make anyone take you seriously. Most sane people slowly edge away from someone in public who joins a conversation by screaming at the top of their lungs. :eek:

This girl is wonderful and does wonderful things for all the horses that she comes into contact with. Just wanted to state the truth about her. I would adopt more from her but don’t have stall space…:lol:

GUS aka “Gussie”
Taken to Brit Le Brand Farm to be brushed and loved–was a retired school horse and previously a retired show hunter. Might I ad that Gus came from WESTERN PENNSYVANIA and may have been a show jumper at one time in California but definately did not come directly from California. He was also dropped off at the farm of Britney Sturtz and family in very good condition and flesh. Under direct veterinary care from a vet in Cleveland he did not have a tendon injury. But he did have high low ring bone, accute navicular conditions, and had been nerved in both front feet. He had been well maintained with corrective shoeing under the same farrier for 5 years as instructed by the vet and went to Britney with all of this information HONEST AND UPFRONT. Gus was just no longer able to withstand the school program any longer. Might I also ad that he was stated to be 17+ years old (exact age unknown). His show name given to you was false information since that was never given to us or able tracked down. Unfortunately, our main concern was for Gus to end up in a forever loving home as a pasture pet or as a therapy horse in a grooming program with his sweet personaliy and wonderful disposition, as you already know.
first of all i didnt say they were bad when i sent them there, i said my vet cleared them for travel, they were underweaight…she didn’t have to “take” my horses if she didnt want them, i gave them to her thinking i would get to see them and get to keep in contact with her…you make it sound like she came to me and took these horses b/c i couldnt care for them no longer, like she was a great mersenary from god sent to help me…well sorry to burst your bubble honey but thats not wnat heppened at all…i NEVER stated that she didnt take care of them or that even if she did sell them i never said she didnt get them a good home, nor did i accuse her of killing my mares, i simply said that i wasnt told about it and i was in the dark for a LONG time about there wareabouts, i beleave i even stated at 1 point that she did good by the horses and finds good himes, but i deserved to be kept informed…and as far as move on with my life, well you obviously have no idea how impossible that is to do and not know what happened, these horses were my everything and i cant just turn my back and walk away like you apparently could do, none the less I never slandered her

MorganM - Why dont you just move in with her… then you two can make a great family - she could use the extra money to feed the horses she sells/adopts/leases or maybe just pushes around. Maybe then they wouldnt arrive at new homes several hundred pounds underweight. But then again the TB I received lost that weight in ~24hrs on the trailer ride cause he was stressed. :lol: So are any of these four horses you got from her actually legally yours? No life - because we post here?? Not likely… you are special though. Special like someone else I know. Funny that you found us… its not like we spent our afternoon looking for you.

So as we know from my previous posting last night, I’m new to this forum idea… I thought this forum was to discuss horse related items, tack, breeds, pedigree and etc. When I was told about this forum, I was completely shocked. I have know Britney Sturtz for many years and really have a ton of respect for her. I’ve seen her spend all night up with a sick horse, spend thousands and thousands of dollars to save a horse, get special feeds, supplements, injections and etc for horses that she has taken in or rescued. I guess one point that needs to be made on this forum is this…
She did work with special needs children and inner city children. Any child that had a dream to touch, brush or ride a horse Britney was there. She has given 4-h children the opportunity to borrow one of her horses to show, since their parents were either unable to purchase a horse or wasn't interested in purchasing a horse; Britney made their dreams come true.
I know when I got that itch to start riding but wasn’t sure if I wanted to do it a year or longer, she let me lease one of her beautiful gorgeous show horses for 2 years. She didn’t ask for anything in return, just to take care of the horse properly. That I did and our relationship as friend grew closer than ever. Then when I decided that I wanted a horse of my own, I called her. She explained about a horse that she had at the farm. I went to look at the horse and feel in love with him immedately. I have adopted 4 all together and they are great. She does have a simple adoption contract for each horse. This ensures that the adoptor is taking proper care of the horse. ( I have heard several people on this site, make horrible comments about the contract !!! What I would like to know is this, what is so hard about taking 4-6 pictures, writing up a summary of that month or three months ( whichever is due) and mailing to her??? ) I send her pictures weekly, I’m sure sometimes she really gets tired of my emails, but she always remarks kindly.

I’m not a heartless person, all I was saying in the posting is that Britney wouldn’t lie about your girls. If she has stated that they passed away, I’m sure they did. I think you all think she is heartless and a horrible person. I saw her take a rescue horse that she had only had about 2 hours, pay out several thousands of dollars to try to save him from colic, then in the end loose him on the operating table. She had him brought back to the farm and buried. She cried for days and was heart broken. She becomes attached immedately after meeting an animal or equine. She would do anything for anyone at anytime.
I truely feel that this forum/posting has gotten way out of control. I think if everyone would of expressed there feelings and concerns to Britney Sturtz, instead of airing them in the manners above, everyone would be happy.
Hope me posting on here and clarifying my thoughts and feeling about Britney Sturtz, this will help the people that had never met her. If anyone would like to talk with Britney Sturtz, let me know and I can put you in touch with her vis phone or email.

Britney couldn’t keep letting all the children come due to the insurance and liability issues. The required insurance was getting to be very expensive and she never charged a dime for the children. She sadly could only let a few continue to come to the farm. Just children that their parents would sign a release. She was no longer aloud disabilities or special needs. This greatly broke her heart !!!

well in my case perhaps you should read back and find my postings from b4, i did try to talk to her and all i got was a bunch of crap about slander, i dont know what is going on with her and other people, and she reads the forms herself and i pleaded with her to let me see my pony and i got told no so i sugest that you should keep your opinions to yourself b/c you have no idea what my situation or any other persons situations, every story has two sides and for some reason everyone seems to forget that. i wont deny saying she dont help horses and i was greatful that she helped me, but i feel i deserve the rite to see my pony if he is still there and if she’s such a saint then why cant i see him?
that one sentence looks like i said she dont help, i ment i wont deny that she helps horses, meaning i think she does…

For new poster re: Gus, I would be happy to send you pix of the weekend before we picked him up and the day we took him back. I did my best to get this wonderful boy placed, in a forever home with a wonderful family (complete w/ kids) and am not surprised that the facts as presented to us in May did not match the facts as you state them now. Please contact me if you would like those pix, though I will warn you the pix from May are very upsetting. I would also recommend that you contact Lt. Kobel at Coshocton Co Sheriff Dept, phone number posted earlier in this thread, to discuss your situation. My offer to place him in Cleveland still stands, as long as it does not come with Britney attached.

Maybe you should of explained it better to Britney. 
I know she is a very understand and forgiving person. :yes: I saw the ad that you placed about Brit Le’ Brand Farms and Britney Sturtz… How do you expect them to react ? I know you don’t like my opinion that is very clear, but I think if you would of emailed her and ask properly to see the pony, I’m sure she would of let you. Why didn’t you do that? I know you said you lost her phone number and email address after about 6 months, but why didn’t you write her ?
You said that you found all these statements… You jumped to a conclusion and believed the worst. Yes, every story has two sides I agree to that. That is why, I finally felt after reading this forum the last week, I needed to say something. I hate to read and see these types of statements.

Did you know that last November she lost her one and only little girl?? She spent months in and out of Ohio State Medical Center trying to carry her child full term… She went into premature labor at 5 1/2 months and delivered her. The baby girl was to early to survive… Her daughter’s birthday/ day she was delivered is November 7th. Can you even imagine the heart ache that she has to live with daily ??? I know you loved your horses, they were your children. I would think Britney understands your feelings… Mandy just think about. If you think I’m way off that is fine, your opinion is free to be expressed. I just wish you would sit back and think about it…
