I will now! Grew up in Omaha, so I’m always keen to follow Midwestern horses. They don’t seem to come around that often (depending on your definition of “Midwest”).
Very sweet story - thanks for sharing!
He won last night by ten lengths or so.
And he’s heading to Keeneland in November per owners interview post race last night.
Me Me Me!
I am an Iowa girl- thanks for posting this!
So we might head up to Des Moines to watch the Iowa Classic.
Welp we are here!
Current situation. Prime Rib dinner overlooking the track just to the right of the finish line. Race 5. Nice crowd trackside. Less up here in the clubhouse even though it is open admission.
Tyler’s Tribe won handily. He’s a nice horse. Will be fun to see what he can do with a stronger class.
Signed up for the casino and hubby won $500 credit for slots. We walked out with $350 or so after playing exactly $500. I got a $5 voucher and won twenty eight cents. LOL
Only bet on one race and she came in fourth. Had they had programs we probably would have bet more but hubby was having a hard time on his phone.
Edited to add, he’s consistent - received an 89 Beyer for this race, after posting 94 and 90 ratings in his two previous starts.
Impressive fractions, too.

This is just a great story for Iowa Racing. From an Iowa breeding business standpoint how cool is it that the sale topper turns out to be the best horse.
I think choosing the sprint is a good choice.
We have been wondering about his entry.
So….is Jordan keeping her ride or are they going with a more seasoned rider who, maybe, is less likely to misunderstand specific directions?
The trainer said initially she would keep the ride. Not so sure directions after a race would be a deal breaker or not. I suspect she thinks the horse should stay in the sprint and he will keep her on him.
Plus he has to go back to Prairie Meadows…
