Anyone following this "little" Iowa horse?

TT was third in the Advent at Churchill on December 9th, but bled for a second time. On Lasix. Ugh. Maybe was brought back too soon after the Breeder’s Cup bleeding incident on November 4th, but this does not seem good. Maybe he needs more time off or to be moved to a second career.

They are always more likely to bleed once they have bled and they all bleed eventually. You will never convince me that banning lasix was the humane thing to do.

I haven’t looked in a while but there was research that said that all horse bleed. Including Mongolian Wild horses. But I have also seen some thoughts that it is genetic. But if it is somewhat genetic it is in a great many horses.

Bled again in the Advent Stakes.

Assuming he’s been retired, but have not found anything conclusive.

He raced on March 30th in an allowance, faded to 6th
Raced April 29, DNF, bled.
No works have been reported.

His dam and weanling half sister sell next month at Fasig-Tipton-Tipton:

And Sharp Azteca sold to Japan. I wonder if the Japanese will snap the dam up as well!

Godspeed Tyler’s Tribe. I hope your death turns out to be nothing nefarious.

Yeah that doesn’t really tell you anything. Having a hard time imagining why the trainer would have all his entries scratched if they didn’t suspect something bad though

I feel sick to my stomach about this one.

Really sorry to read this. The fact that another horse died from the same trainer’s barn the day after, in a similar way, is extra awful. I hope they can figure out the cause.

From DRF:
Martin also confirmed a second horse from the barn, Collins, collapsed and died when galloping out after a Thursday work at the track. Both horses were under the same exercise rider who escaped injury, Martin said. Collins was a 3-year-old maiden through six starts who had not yet raced for Martin.
