Anyone here use the Pony Box

Boy - just checked their facebook page. They are acting like “business as usual!” promoting new products. Those waiting for the “sport boots” it sounds like at least one person already got theirs…

Quick question about the boots. What exactly are they for? They offer no support and the sizing is strange. I’m confused as to what good they would be? They were advertised as sport boots but they aren’t.

I haven’t tried them on a horse so it’s just gonna be a pic out of the box. Were supposed to be pink with blue trim but it’s blue with orange trim

Won’t let me post a pic I’ll message you. I ordered mediums these are large. Front are short rear ones are big. Front would fit a pony, rear would fit a big horse. Not very usable

Other than some sort of decoration not sure what these would be used for. Polos at least do offer some support these have none.

When you source cheap chinese crap - you get cheap chinese crap.

Oh and I CALLED IT on the supply issue - from Pony Box:

ATTENTION!
Unfortunately, we have been made aware of an issue with the set of four polo wraps sent in the December Boxes. The manufacturer we selected did not send the same quality wraps as initially sampled.

Yes, that is because you are rookies and have no clue what you are doing when it comes to sourcing over seas manufacturing. When dealing with Chinese suppliers, getting a sample of one thing, and then them turning and producing another is unfortunately extremely common. Thats why its important to employ someone who is familiar with the ins and outs of dealing with these manufacturers. Thats why its important to go to China to negotiate the contracts. Thats why Pony Box has no business trying to do this on their own.

And they are saying NOT our fault!! We didn’t check the polo wraps we ordered and then sent out - but its not their fault. Its the big meanie manufacture’s fault.

Well guess who picked that manufacturer? Guess who sent out items without checking quality?

I can’t believe they have the balls to keep trying to push this “new business”.

For what it’s worth, I want to give you a hug, Appsolute.

I opened my polo wraps. They are each stitched in several pieces. Here’s a link to what they look like:

:frowning:

Oh well. I guess you can count me in as another disatisfied customer.

I have had so many great experiences with The Pony Box! They have such good quality products, and I love the surprise part! Use code PBSARAG for 10% off your next pony box purchase!

Oh, please. Give it up. It’s a lost cause.

I love how the positive reviews only ever come from ambassadors…

Like it’s going to fool anybody when they put the code right in there

LOL

I run a side business which requires buying products from
Large mills (yarn and fiber). I could save money by buying from China, but I don’t do that. Why? Two reasons: I don’t want to deal with the shenanigans associated with trying to get what I actually ordered. I also don’t like the bootlegging that goes on there.

So I pay more to buy from mills in the U.S. or Canada

It makes you wonder if Saragel actually read the thread before posting. Or maybe Saragel thinks one post by a brand new poster raving about these boxes will make everyone forget all the bad posts they read.

Ironic that the thread bashing them was buried and now here it is up at the top again for everyone to see and read! Great marketing.

I would never use a company where it is so blatantly obvious the owner is a total liar. If she owned up to all of her mistakes, and the product was actually worth it, I would be more willing to try. Unfortunately the owner just shot herself in the foot with this.

I will say, following along with the story on facebook has been an excellent lesson in how to not run a business

But she ended every sentence with an exclamation point, surely that makes everything legit!

There is a facebook group called “Pony Box Scam” now:

https://www.facebook.com/TPBFraudAlert?ref=br_tf

Check out how laughable the long awaited “sport boots” are.

Straps in all the wrong places…

Yeah no…

They were trying to sell these pieces of junk for around $50….

Even had a photo on their website showing a horse wearing all 4 - straps going the wrong way (Velcro to the inside etc) - but it appears that their site is down / gone?

I cannot stand to see people get scammed. This absolutely stinks for those who believed the marketing and spend their hard earned money for what turned out to be junk. Shame on whoever owns the Pony Box.

I have had a hell of a time with this company…

Supposedly the boots that were supposed to be part of my box back in DECEMBER will be here this week. SUPPOSEDLY.

They are supposed to accompany a saddle pad that is being sent to me to reach those jacked up polos that were in my box. I have a tracking number, but I’m doubtful both items were shipped.

If anyone is interested in actually using a service like this though, I ordered a box from Giddy Up Goodies. I am 110% thrilled with my decision to order a box from them. Cool, useful products, and the owner I believe runs their social media and is so very pleasant to communicate with.

On the other hand, when I voiced my opinion on The Pony Box instagram that I was upset I had been lied to (and that no one was replying to my emails), I was blocked. When I went to facebook to complain, my comments were deleted. Customer service at its finest…

According to the owner of TPB it’s perfectly ok to delete comments that are “unfounded accusations.”

Glad you are liking Giddy-Up Goodies. I’ve had some contact with them and have been very impressed with their communication and follow up.

To be fair, most companies remove negative reviews or comments you post on facebook. They need to manage their PR. HOWEVER, a good company owner will contact you privately and work with you to resolve your problem when they remove that comment. TPB clearly isn’t doing that essential part of the equation :frowning: - such a cool concept & such an apparent fail.
