I am really happy with her! she is smart, personable, Level headed and really wants to please. She is a very big girl and is string testing to be in the 16.3hh range, which is taller than both parents but from what I can tell TNT tends to throw larger than himself. Here is a picture of her from October, I don’t have any that I will share that are more recent because I have been letting her be a baby and she is currently a hairy yack. We are hoping to breed back to him this spring for a 2024 foal.
Have to love that awkward baby phase! Please keep us updated on your lovely girl, especially with more pictures.
Very pretty. I can’t believe how fast she is turning gray!!
She turned gray the fastest that I have ever seen. She was actually already graying when she dried off., She is much darker with her winter coat. Hopefully she will hold on to that darker color for a little while but I have a feeling she will be significantly lighter when she sheds her winter coat.
Oh my goodness she’s gorgeous! She’s going to have some substance when she grows up! I love her!
Yes! She is going to be a very solid girl. That definitely came from TNT because momma is pretty slight of build. That was one thing that I wanted to improve on and he really did it. Here is a picture of her from this weekend in all of her hairy yack/awkward growth spurt self.
I thought I would update everyone on my now yearling by Theres No Telling out of a OTTB mare. She is growing up nicely and is currently in a growth spurt (honestly she is almost always in a growth spurt) She is currently just shy is 15hh at the hip and a solid girl. She hasn’t finished sheding out completely and she tends to get really light then her coat falls out then she is darker underneath. I’m hoping that is the case with this shed as I can see some darker hair under the fluff that is still hanging on. Here is what she looks like currently. I’m hoping to get her mane pulled and the rest of this hair off here so that I can get some good birthday photos this week. My trainer is over the moon with her.
So since being on this topic I’ve had foals by hot n blazing and easy on the eyez. My hot n blazing babies have been very nice and actually my 2yo has been under saddle and very amateur friendly. He’s actually lazy and I just sold him to another amateur in my trainers barn. However the easy on the eyez are out of this world. I can’t say enough good things about them for temperament, conformation and movement. I’m definitely breeding back
I LOVED my HnB!!! Hands down the easiest horse I ever owned and showed. A total gem!
Azure Te TB put the most amazing disposition on his foals, including so many quarter horses that went on to do well in that breed because of that amenable temperament adding to the athleticism of the TB.
His offspring and down the line were always pleasant to work with.
Mine are amazing so far. I can see why he’s a hall of fame stud
man, she’s got some nice bone! I love her!
I have a friend with a Coats n Tails daughter - not only is the mare super nice, athletic, and kind, but I have her Irish Draught Sport Horse filly and ohhh my gosh what a good brain. I like the mare so much I’m in contract for a 2024 IDSH maybe-baby from another stallion and because I have the stupid, I’ve purchased frozen semen from a lovely deceased ID stallion to hold and hopefully use her again The mare is 16.1 and evented through…err… training level I think. I don’t know her dam, and I’m not a HUS person, but my filly has lovely hunter movement that came from somewhere since the stallion is more eventer bred.
She did get some nice bone! Plus the QH mind that I know didn’t come from her TB momma. She is level headed a very nice mover and a quick learner. She is actually shedding out a bit darker than this picture. It seems that every shed her hair turns almost white then falls out and you find the darker coat underneath. We’ve had a weird spring here. We’ve bounced from HOT to COLD without the warm in the middle. We just finished a week of lows in the low 40’s. hopefully she will drop the rest of this winter coat and I can get some nice sleek pictures when I get back from my trip to Philly next week.
I love Coats N Tails which is part of the reason that I bred to this stallion. Your girl is cute.
That’s my girl’s dam. My filly is only 3 so definitely not eventing yet.
What a great photo!
I started and rode a Coats n Tails 3 yr. old gelding for my trainer last summer. He was a good 16.2, a pretty mover and had a darling personality. That cross with the IDSH must be wonderful.
I am partial to her, she’s chrome-y and a chonk, I’d say 15.2 or 15.3 right now but built like a tank, a little sass but super sweet. Sending her off to get started this fall and then hoping to play with her until she’s ready for something bigger and then go about securing a show lease for a bit since my schedule doesn’t work for that. The ID I hope to rebreed to is 17.2 and even heavier. Excuse my braggy pic of her, her sire is Dutch/ID but since she’s mostly QH I think I can sneak it in
Me want one just like that!
Well her dam just had an Oldenburg colt, chestnut with three socks to his eyeballs
