They’re taking the element out where Nicola fell. That’s not a good sign, although a good response.
Sorry which fence are they removing?
Yes and after a downhill and forward stride. I remember I was watching riders before doing my first Prelim and the first person I watched jumped the corner, 5 strides to the bounce and just came in hell bent for leather and flipped her horse over and had to be airlifted to the hospital.
I never half halted so hard in my life coming into that fence lol luckily my horse was an amazingly smart jumper but it shook me for a long time seeing that at 15! Back then you didn’t see falls unless you saw them in person or on VHS.
The C element of fence 26 has been removed from the course. The fence that Nicola fell at.
The final element of the Mars baskets where Nicola fell.
Thanks guys.
I just sat down to start watching, heard about Tom, watched Nicola fall, saw Oliver struggle through…. I have not had enough caffeine yet to catch up and learn the course!
Interesting. That’s fence 27, right? It doesn’t look like anything crazy, unless it was damaged or in the fall
The horse really just didn’t get its front end up. It looked a good distance and hadn’t had anything THAT sketchy. I wonder if it was tired but I didn’t feel it was a fence issue.
Good on Pippa.
Sensible move by Pippa
Good on Pippa. That horse was losing confidence & wasnt forward thinking. What a horsewoman!
I just began watching. Was Nicola’s fall rotational? Did the horse land on her? Hoping she’s ok.
results show Oliver eliminated at the 4th fence.
I wonder what happened? was that the fence they slithered over?
Just saw that! It must have been that fence early on.
The fence by fence results are showing him as E at fence 4. Wow!
I’m not shocked. Honestly it looks like his horse hit low enough on the back end to constitute a horse fall
He’ll be peeved.
live scoring showing a fall for Lillian Heard.
badminton radio has not reported it - they just noticed the Ollie elimination and talking about that
Looked like a slow motion fall she attempted to save.
The live feed showed #20 Lillian Heard at a distance through the crowd just coming off over the horse’s shoulder, probably unseated after a fence.
