Badminton;

I don’t think they’ll have replay up until Monday. ETA I am wrong about the replay.

Where do you see the replay? I still see the live stream and it’s marked as “off air”

Pippa Funnel didn’t have a good day. Retired with Billy Walk On and fell with MGH Grafton Street.
She had decent Dressage scores with both of them. :slightly_frowning_face:

19 “first timers” jumped clear. :slightly_smiling_face:

She must have been tired after Kentucky! The trip alone would be exhausting let alone riding.

It’s not up yet.

Per the Badminton Fb page:

What a wonderful day of cross country and we hope you have all enjoyed watching either here at Badminton or from home.

We have had 6 hours of cross country action today and our team will now be preparing the replay which will be available to watch on Badminton TV later tonight.

We assure you we will do this as quickly as we can.

Dom Schramm’s trip around looked fantastic. Yes slow, but he said on FB a bit change didn’t work out as planned so at fence 7 his plan became getting home on a clear, which he did in style.

Z looked fit and lovely. A lost shoe that early on explains those time faults. A shame as he could have been much higher on the leaderboard.

Tamie and Lexus looked great jumping but the horse did look tired to me. She couldn’t really make up time on the longer runs because she didn’t have enough gas left in the tank. Always a question with that horse, IMO. Those WB types need to be “extra fit” to be competitive time-wise.

Maxime needs a yellow card at the very least. That horse was toast long before his accident.

I was gutted for Tom McEwen, Toledo is so amazing. And of course prayers for Nicola, didn’t see that fall but it sounded nasty.

No further news about Nicola as of now.

When I lived there in the 90s (in Birmingham and London), I didn’t have a car and was busy all week! So the logistics of traveling were awkward, despite British Rail. As a tourist, with free time, it would be easier.

I don’t know I thought 12 :joy: ignore me Im an idiot

She’s also had that horse since it was 3 and is World Champion lol

I think we need to be very proud of the US riders! And the Canadians! A few years ago they wouldn’t even finish or have many jump penalties. Now they are jumping clean and doing decent dressage. I praise the improvement and a lot of these riders are super exciting for the future! Corvette for one is super exciting!

Tami has a very little interview on the Eventing pod

On one of the Eventing Nation articles, Emily Hamel said one of the things she did to help her save money for the trip over to Badminton was that she rented out her house for the last year.

I know she also did an auction and probably had some other help as well, but just thought that was a neat little tidbit.

I feel silly - had to be looking at dressage leaderboard - oops!

I still think it was a pretty good day for the US - lower standings and all. Solid rides and good decisions for the most part.

I also thought that was interesting & wondered where she lived for the year?

Can anyone watch the XC replay? I haven’t figured it out but also see that maybe it is not available until Monday?

They said they would have it available as soon as possible, but it’s not up yet. Six hours of video is a LOT of data to process (I’m not sure how much editing they’re doing either.). Soon hopefully!

Thanks! With the time difference I didn’t get to see anything live. I’m avoiding this thread until it goes up. Just scroll to the bottom and ask my question!

You also have to pay for a subscription to Badminton TV (in case you missed that part).
