Badminton;

Do you mind DMing me the link? I tried to search on Youtube and can only find a short of Tom McEwen. Thank you.

Me, too. Can’t find it.

If it was done from the live stream or replay, it may have been taken down if they didn’t have permission to use to use the video content.

I’m guessing it was reported and removed due to copyright violations, there was a bit of an outcry on fb about it.

I think it was removed. I checked my YouTube watch history and it’s not there.

A very kind thought but here in the UK medical costs are not an issue - universal health care is paid through National Insurance - so she will not be facing crippling costs as well as trying to regain health. Most elite riders are then able to make use of one of the world class rehabilitation centres provided by the Injured Jockey Fund, who obviously specialise in rider injuries. Insurance for riders is available at reasonable price, just part of doing business. I would guess that one of her concerns right now is who will keep her horses going until she can get back on board, horse people being what they are.

CMP says that Badminton this year had “no real skinnies or five-star angles”. Makes me wonder how he defines a “real” skinny and what makes a five star angle.

The lack of skinnies was refreshing and WFP was complaining about too many angles!

I thought there was a lot of angles! lol

I think the video has been removed? I don’t like to watch them but did see the video of her 2013 rotational is still on youtube. Difficult for me to watch any of the horse falls. Prayers for full recovery.

Ollie Townsend thought there was a predominance of LH angles.

Re: GoFund Me, at least in the UK they provide national health care services. Unlike the US, you won’t go bankrupt or receive substandard care for a major health care crisis. Loss of income is another issue

Sure, it would be unfair, but I didn’t condemn anyone. Condemnation is very strong disapproval or censure of another - I just expressed my own feelings of distress at watching it.

I think her team are up to the task;

First people were speculating that she was dead, now that she’s paralyzed?

It’s great that her vertebral fractures don’t require surgery and that her other acute symptoms seem also not to require surgery at this point in time. Good news.

I, thankfully, didn’t see her fall and am glad that the video was taken down.

I was unaware that Caroline March had a bad fall earlier this month and is hospitalized.

Sending healing vibes to the ladies in the UK.

I understand why the falls compilation video was taken down. I watched it before it was removed, and it was horrible to watch several of those falls. Yet at the same time I think it’s very important that riders be able to see the causes of this type of horse fall, both for their own understanding of what rider errors may have contributed to these falls and to put pressure on course designers/officials to continue to improve safety.

After watching the horse fall at the bounce fence, I think there should be a rule that the second element in a bounce must be frangible. That horse jumped in so boldly, and just had no idea that there was another fence coming up so quickly. He just had no physical way to get his legs up in time. I think that was the one that just felt so unfair to the horse.
