Barisone assessment

Well, a jury of 12, and literally hundreds of people commenting on YouTube saw the testimony differently. And that doesn’t even include all the different versions written by LK and/or RG on SM. At least on MB’s side, there aren’t a dozen different versions of stuff out in the world, or under oath. But sure, they’ll bring up whatever dirt they cam find on him and try to make it relevant.

It sure is going to be a big mudslinging fest.

Are there peremptory challenges in civil trials?

For the jury? Yes.

And the jury rejected everything he said and went with the defense mental health experts who called it delusion. Otherwise, it would be Guilty.

What is a peremptory challenge?

You still don’t understand NGRI. He won’t get out until a state psychiatrist affirms he is no longer a danger to himself or others and a judge agrees to accept that recommendation. That could be soon to never. I hope it’s sooner than never so long as LK and MHG are safe.

The attorneys are allowed to dismiss certain jurors up to a set number. Did I explain that correctly legal peeps?

The dog came out with RG? The dog got loose when RG dived back into the house then back out and defended himself against MB when the gun was no longer firing?

If you think anyone will fall for this you are gravely mistaken

When you start jury selection, each side gets a number of strikes, or challenges, where they can just strike a potential juror for no reason. So, you get through all the strikes for cause - like someone says they’ve read every comment on YouTube, watched the criminal trial on a loop, but sure, they can still be impartial. Or, someone says they’re morally opposed to awarding damages to people.

When all that’s done, then each side uses their strikes to try to get the jurors they want.

Yes! Probably better than I did!

They are allowed to dismiss a limited number of jurors without a reason so long as the opposing party doesn’t present a prima facie.

Too bad that was not what was testified to.

Maybe it was when he was waiting on the porch for MB to get close enough to punch him, like his FB post says, which is different than his testimony.

Somewhere, there’s a screenshot of that FB post.
