I dare say LK/RG are directly responsible (along with the police) for the monetary losses the actions initiated by LK caused. And as a juror, after seeing the testimony and evidence which is bound to be shown, I would definitely assess LK as the culpable party. 100%.

LK and RG have to overcome some serious credibility issues. Otherwise, at least 5 jurors will be right there with you.

This has been discussed in the previous threads. No one actually said “let’s murder them at 2 pm on Wednesday with Ruth Cox’s Ruger”.

What was said sounded very bad and scary, iow, leave but before the shooting they did not imagine Barisone would try to kill them. Getting shot by your trainer was “unthinkable”. After he actually shot them, it became thinkable, and the same words were reinterpreted.

She knew the situation was hostile iow, “leave” and not tenable long term iow, “leave” and was in the process of finding another place. iow she knew she should “leave” If she had imagined he was capable of shooting her and RG, I assume she would have left immediately.

I mean, even if the “plot to kill her” was ALL she heard, doesn’t that in itself say “leave”?

She herself shot at RG in some fit of pique… So why would it be “unthinkable” that the harassment these three had dished out to ALL the people on the farm might drive someone there, or associated with these harassed people to some action, including violence?

Clearly LK and RG are familiar with violence in relationships, so unthinkable to them? Hardly.

The mental health professionals at AK will also be wondering that when they receive the audio transcriptions. And I wonder which version it will be - the ones done by the state, or the ones done by KK. The latter cannot be relied upon for accuracy and I certainly hope there are mechanisms in place at AK to verify the veracity of stuff like that.

Wait, does anyone really think that:

A. Any recordings or transcripts will actually be sent to AK?

B. AK would do anything with such material other than throw it in the trash can?

I’m also willing to bet MB won’t want to settle. But he’s been through a lot so that could be super motivating in one direction or another.

Obviously I don’t actually know the answer to this question.

But considering the amount of grit and determination it takes to get to the Olympic level in the first place, I would be amazed if one dog bite incident would be enough to make much of a difference. Hopefully not, anyway.

I think we need to remember Michael’s arm was also very badly broken, and he has had very limited physical therapy due to being in prison.

That’s true as well, but it’s been almost three years, so hopefully he has fully recovered on the physical end of things.

I’m not a doctor, much less his doctor. But I’ve seen many people recover from some pretty significant injuries over time and get back in the saddle, so fingers crossed for him.

Yes, but these days most get the benefit of extensive physical therapy or rehab when significantly injured. Michael was not allowed such privilege.

Ya bc she was driving him freaking nuts!! Literally!! He didn’t have 30 days. She was relentless and everyone knows she wouldn’t have left in 30 days and LL cases can go on for a very long time.
