I’ll never reveal my ways, @cutter99. sips warm blood
Usually if a client refuses to leave, they are given notice, a police escorts them off private property and if a balance is owed, horses are sold.
I don’t really buy the idea that she paid staff. MB employed them, he paid them, LK paid MB. How would LK even know how much to pay each employee? If MB couldn’t pay employees, how did he buy feed, hay, shavings, etc? If MB didn’t pay the employees, why would some have stayed a considerable amount of time afterward and helped facilitate things after MB was no longer able?
Not sure, but I wouldn’t be surprised if she voluntarily quit riding to further her argument that she is being discriminated against and that she is suffering from a lack of riding to help her case.
I believe unless otherwise stated by contract you give notice and then remove them. Were I the barn owner I’d give 30 days for an otherwise OK person or a 10 day notice for a problem boarder. It would say vacate horses by xxxx date or on xxxxx date the following named horses will be removed and brought to xxxxxxxx. Then, according to your area you decide what xxxxx is: auction or sheriff’s possession or another barn or whatever.
You’re falling down the rabbit hole a little bit of wasting your time speculating about the details of something that was posted by a person who testified under oath in court that she lies a lot on social media.
Obviously, you can do that if you like. But it’s probably not worth too much of your time or mental energy, in my opinion.
Well she also posted that her mother brought brunch for everyone and had it set up in the lounge and she (LK) invited in the workers to eat as well because no one else did. As I recall she called one by name.
I think one easy way to tell the horse people from the non-horse people in any of these discussions is that the horse people have no trouble believing that hitting your head or getting a concussion could result in memory loss for a certain amount of time, since we’ve either had it happen ourselves or we’ve seen it happen to other people when they fell off their horses. Lol.
She was definitely riding regularly this winter. Have no idea if she’s riding now but can’t imagine why she wouldn’t be. I do think she is passionate about riding and about taking care of her horses. Maybe not willing to put the time and work in the saddle to meet her lofty goals, based on what others have shared, but I’ve never heard anyone criticize the care of her horses or her love for them.
The big name trainer she was riding with this winter was a he. I believe he went back to Europe and one of his female assistant trainers started teaching Lauren. And then she quit, but I have no idea what reasons were given.
I’m guessing the only people who find the QFP thing to be disruptive are the ones who would prefer to be able to edit or delete their posts without any evidence. Lol.
