It might have been relevant back 20+ years ago when she had the car accident. But, and I say this generally, speaking from the experience of having a family member with a heroin addict, at some point in 20 years you either a) get clean, b) get dead c) get imprisoned or d) keep finding ways and excuses to maintain your addiction before it leads to either b, or c. Working at A is the absolute hardest choice. But, every addict I know says you’re not clean till you’re off the subs, or methadone, or whatever other crutch is helping you get there.
So, a multiparty civil trial happens at the same time. When one party’s witness is on the stand, all the parties have an opportunity to conduct a cross….and so on, and so forth. Then they rest their case and the next party calls it’s witnesses and they repeat the process…
I can only aspire to be as sophisticated as you are @cutter99 with your brilliant veil collection. I imagine all the pretty patterns and colors. Maybe I too can wear a veil if I get a fancy drinking straw so when I sip my warm blood from my coffin my veil won’t dip in my elixir.
Yep. It will work just like the Heard/Depp trial as far as process goes. Plaintiff goes first, presents their case, then Defense. Then it flips and MB’s team presents counterclaim, and LK presents defense.
How long would such a thing be likely to take? It felt like the criminal trial took a really long time, and that was only two weeks before it went to the jury.
Didn’t the Johnny Depp/Amber Heard trial go for five or six weeks? I don’t know how the jury could possibly keep track of all that information over that length of time.
