Gofundme update! What great news!!!
6-14-22 Update
Michael is doing well. He has been moved from the intake unit and now has more freedoms and privileges. He is allowed to wear regular clothes, so I have sent him jeans, t-shirts, clothes for him to exercise in and some sneakers. In this unit they are allowed to have radio headphones and he can now listen to music, something he has missed terribly, anyone that knows Michael knows that he always had music playing! He can also have paperback books sent through Amazon. The best thing is he can have visitors. I was able to fly up and visit him this past Friday, for the first time since August 7th 2019, Michael was able to hug someone he loves! Being able to speak to him face to face without a piece of plexiglass in between and talking over a phone was amazing, but being able to hug him and touch him was indescribable! I wish I could see him every week, but even if I could go there are not enough time slots. I find it so odd that this is a hospital and having friends and family around can be very helpful to someone’s mental state, but visiting hours are extremely limited! They only allow 2 hours of visiting time one day a week per unit. In that 2 hour period they really only seem to want one patient and visitor! There are 20 men in the unit! I was supposed to go at 6 PM, but was told to come at 7 because there was already one patient scheduled for a visit at 6 and they were worried about being short staffed! How can they keep people from being able to see their loved ones like that?
Michael has been spending a lot of his time exercising and planning for our future. He is very anxious to put all of this behind him and move on with his life.
Michael and I are both very thankful for all of the love and support that he has been given in and out of the equestrian community. We cannot express our gratitude enough!
I wish I had more frequent updates, but this is a slow process, and while things are happening it is sometimes hard to see it.
The rescheduled hearing will take place in July.

There is a lot of good news in there. It just seems that the delays in the hearing are rather contrary to NJ’s laws and guidelines, but I’m probably wrong or missing something. But any progress is good!!

Agreed. It’s great news though and sounds like he is really progressing and responding well!!! Can you imagine finally being physically close to someone you know and love after almost three years alone???

Great news! I am so happy his girlfriend was able to visit him. That had to have helped a great deal for both of them! Wearing regular clothes, getting books and listening to music has got to be a relief for him as well. My best to both of them for a bright future!

I’m also very glad he can wear his own clothes, listen to music, hug someone. That is all great news.
It would be cool if someone could throw a wish list on Amazon in case anyone wanted to send a book. I cannot imagine not having books around.

would her Team not be concerned about the recent Amber Heard verdict. Of that display of how stupid some people can be playing the victim ? It is going to be hard to find a jury that was not subjected to the daily court news of that case
She has already displayed repeatedly that she in not controllable

If any lawyer can find a way to do that, I’d put my money on Mr Deininger and Mr Bilinkis.
I certainly would be very concerned that a jury of 12 already didn’t believe LK, that she made a terrible witness, as did RG, and that her recordings and all her proof are as valuable as Amber Heard’s “mountains of evidence.” Unfortunately, it appears LK, much like Amber Heard, is incapable of seeing how she comes across, and is stuck in an “I am smarter than the rest of the world and I will win” mode.

I did not pay any attention to the whole Johnny Depp/Amber Heard thing, since it did not interest me at all. But I’m amazed at how much press she has been getting after the fact.
I have not watched any of the interviews with her, but it seems as if she is trying to play up the entire situation as a huge blow to the whole #MeToo movement instead of just a case where the jury did not believe her specific story.

In the beginning it didn’t interest me a single bit either. I couldn’t stop watching the day I was flipping channels and saw her try really hard to cry on the stand and not succeeding. She was so badly unbelievable that I find it hard to understand how she’s ever made any money acting.
She also, much like LK, would change her story from day to day, and at one point admitted to not remembering what she had just testified about.
She is absolutely still trying to play the victim and run with this being a blow to the MeToo movement despite a jury just saying those statements pre-trial were defamatory. Honestly, some of the stuff she’s said the last couple weeks is worse than her original statements, and if he sued her again, he’d probably win again.
Some people don’t learn.

Why would she bother? She didn’t listen to the attorneys who tried the case on her behalf for free. She hires experts & ignores them. That is why she wasn’t trained by MB the way she felt she deserved - despite not putting in the consistent work or being reliable and taking responsibility for any of her actions (showing, for example).
