Barisone assessment

Well at least we’re moving forward to August of 2021 now.

BTW, @erinmeri was adult enough to reach out to me several months ago to respectfully discuss a post I’d made some time before that she took to heart and read a different interpretation than I had intended. We talked it out and both explained what we felt and meant, as adults, and came away with great respect for each other - all because she reached out.

Posts can become heated, emotional, misinterpreted, misread, offensive, etc but unless the person who has an issue with the poster provides the post and explains how it made them feel the bad feeling or misunderstanding remains and festers.

More of us should be like erinmeri to have the courage to politely PM the OP and talk about their feelings. It makes a difference to have private air-clearing discussions!

There is too much baiting, trap setting, and pulling portions of posts out of context for me to recommend PMs to anyone. I’m with @CurrentlyHorseless.

In a vague attempt to haul this train back onto the subject before it completely de-rails, it appears that LK gave her first interview to “48 Hours” in Wellington yesterday and it all went absolutely swimmingly.

This will be a litmus tests for the show. I can’t wait to see what comes about. It is quite different when you ‘know’ the players in the drama.

I would agree that it’s just “record keeping” if it were a neutral QFPing of literally all posts.

However, it has been explained, out loud, that the three posters selected for this treatment were selected due to their presumed tendency to inappropriately edit and delete. I readily edit to correct grammatical errors, but rarely delete, so that claim doesn’t fly.

I think the highly selective choice of targets for the treatment is intended to influence the posting of the targets, so that does make it a policing function. Sort of a passive aggressive form of policing.

Ok.

Thank you. It seems I have been too subtle in the past.

Edited to add an “o” to “to” for the correct usage of “too.”

Wait, haven’t we been led to believe she has been in contact with them for months providing them with transcripts, recordings, etc? Perhaps this was just the first chance they’d had to meet up face-to-face. That’s wonderful (seriously). I wonder which version of events she provided.

Wellington? Doesn’t she live in Loxahatchee?

Exactly! Thank you! I was upset, and nervous to reach out… but you were gracious about it and now we are chummy! We don’t always agree, but we can disagree respectfully and engage in civilized debate!

And with that, at the risk of sounding like LaLa… I am late to go ride some horses, help install solar fans on a shedrow, look for a job (so I can continue riding said horses!), and work on my online certificate (to help me get a job!). Busy day!

It’s been mostly nice and respectful this morning. Did everyone else listen to T Swift last night like I did? LOL.

For the full impact, you need to see the post in the context of Erinmeri’s previous posts, which were super, super mild. I’ve told you the official thread # and the counter #.

@CurrentlyHorseless and just like before, most of us don’t have the time or desire to go search for a post # when you could have easily quoted or copied the post(s). Your game really is becoming quite tiring.

That is so sad about your sweet boy. So sorry all that happened.

We used Decoquinate and Lavamisole in various ways and various combinations - paste, powder, etc. It all worked quite well but in retrospect, we probably should have kept him on a maintenance dose through the summers when opossum activity is highest. He was constantly getting re-exposed every summer, which caused his symptoms to flare in the autumn and was especially exacerbated by fall vaccines. It got a bit tricky because my sports medicine vet was much more experienced with EPM than the barn’s regular vet, but the barn owner/trainer wanted to follow the barn vet’s recommendations. Unfortunately by the time we were all coming to an agreement on how to manage my horse’s treatment and care year-round, the Vetera Gold incident occurred - triggering a whole cascade of events that led to my horse’s euthanasia. It was a sad way to learn that I should have trusted my own judgment regarding my horse’s care.

I bear no ill will toward the vet in my case because I know vets are human - and this particular vet had just adopted a new baby, plus had a 4 y/o at home and was sleep-deprived so just wasn’t on top of her game and didn’t give adequate instructions to her vet tech. But I have a vehement dislike for combo vaccines, esp. for horses that have already shown sensitivity to vax bombs and that are dealing with neuro or other issues that compromise their immune systems.

(And sorry to everyone else on this thread for the sidebar.)

[Edited to fix a typo]

I agree 1000000%. Medical people are human. Just like human Healthcare we have to be our own advocates for our animals’ health and stand firm when we don’t want something. Every year I have a mild argument when my vet wants to give my dogs Lepto vaccines but that vaccine has caused problems with this breed in the past. If only I could relive the few seconds I turned my back as he prepared and gave the shot my boy might still be with us. Livin’ in the past :frowning:

Use the search function and search for the word “mocking” in a post by FitzE. Take the post in the “Court date for Barisone?” thread of Aug 2021.

For full impact you need to see the post in the context of the posts FitzE was responding to.

Your saying that I must quote or copy rather than provide the post # or search instructions sounds like more thread policing to me. Look it up, don’t look it up, or better yet, scroll on by.

Again, your desire to control and dictate to others is not lost on me. Honestly, it appears only YOU are interested in whatever point you are attempting to drive home. No one cares, mkay?

I see no reason to quote the post here, or link to it. It is easy enough to find. I also see no reason to re-live a nearly year old dust up that I was a part of and am not upset by in June 2022. I asked CH to back their claim - several times dating back to when they alluded to it in April - and they have. Apologies have been made and the people directly involved are all good. If people want to go look, then that is their prerogative. The point was to back assertions since I had no clue what was being alluded to. Assertion was backed. We can move on.

Do I need to post the T Swift video again?
