I am trying to remember. I thought at one point the $50,000 number included something to do with the horse. Was it to cover board or something?

Now imagine you’re trying to keep all those details straight without notes with the rest of somebody’s life in the balance.

I was referring more to Bob’s posts from way back when this all started.

There is no way I could be a juror with no notes. Noper.

This does give me the insight to bring up my need for notes if I ever get called for jury duty and make it far along enough to get to the jury selection process.

Im personally relieved that the jury is taking its time. I believe it reflects the seriousness of their responsibility. If I was a hold out juror, you could not rush me because of a holiday to determine a person’s fate.

I hope they can write stuff down in the jury room. We couldn’t take notes in court, but once deliberations started we had notepads, post-its, and a whiteboard to use in the jury room.

But even if that’s the case, that would not do you much good on the things you had already forgotten by the time you got into the jury room.

Are these jurors supposed to watch the video of the psychiatrist’s testimony, go back in the jury room, make notes on the whiteboard, come back out and watch the testimony of another witness that they don’t recall clearly, go back in the jury room, write on the whiteboard again, etc., etc.?

And heaven forbid they don’t reach a decision today and then have to start over again six days from now!

The whole thing just sounds almost impossible, especially with the number of witnesses, including many who gave conflicting testimony. I think there were 23-24 witnesses just for the defense.
