Barisone- New Thread

I wonder if they can choose to just listen to part of it? Or if they have to listen to the cross examination as well?

I can see the new ones now but not the old ones :+1:t3:

The gun charges. It’s hard to tie in the whole delusional disorder issue, and apply it with the facts of the gun related charges.

Dinah and I were specifically discussing those charges.

Did you miss the part of the testimony when they said he was afraid his barn was going to be burned down with the horses in it?

The eviction proceeding was not officially started. LK received an unsigned letter in email and a signed copy was sent via snail mail. I may be wrong. However, he started turning up the heat on LK before the letter was sent to her on 8/6/19. He was already unraveling before 8/6 according to the defense witnesses. When did he start trying to get LK to leave by making life at the farm inhospitable? He should have started the eviction process months before when he first caught wind of the SM shenanigans. One thing I’ve learned over the years is that you can’t out crazy a crazy person. It’s best to just disengage and call the lawyer.

Exactly. If someone impulsively grabs a weapon and used it, the delusion is plausible. But getting a gun and driving to use it, that is harder to accept, at least for me.

LK posted multiple times in September of 2019 that RG was “owed” $50,000

Would you just pay someone who had extorted you $50,000… just to get them gone… knowing that they had a drug problem, and would very possibly blow right through that money… only to subsequently try and pursue a legal complaint to get the $50,000 back later?

C’mon. That’s ridiculous.

He had the night security guard. He could have walked around all night.
He still could have moved MHG and the kids.
It’s just that posters argue LK had lots of money, why didn’t she move. He had lots of money, why not use it to de fuse the confrontation?
Because they both were obsessed with “winning.”

It was his home and his barn. Why is his staying now framed as ‘determined to get the last word’?

If squatters moved into your property and you didn’t abandon your home, would you consider that simply being determined to get the last word? Would you think commuting to your own home where two drug users have taken possession and driven you out seems reasonable? Would you trust in the safety of your horses, home, and possessions while you paid for your b&b so that the 2 squatters could continue to live on your farm for free?

What a weird take. I thought in the US that your home is your castle and that this is even enshrined in the concepts like the Castle Doctrine. Yet, you seem to think someone is unreasonable and simply stubborn if they don’t flee their own home and leave it to others. I’m not even sure how to process that!

Seriously, who pays a bill they don’t owe with the hopes of recouping the cost in court?

Fair points. However, who stays on someone else’s property when they know they are not wanted…and why? LK was offered places and help to get there. Why wouldn’t she leave?

I don’t know any decent person who would allow a permanent resident to sleep on a porch, while I stayed on the 1 inhabitable indoor space. Especially as LK and RG weren’t paying for their accommodations. FFS they weren’t even paying for all of her horses’ board.

If Michael’s mother is still alive, may she rot in hell. If she’s already died, good riddance to her, and I expect she’s already there.

His reaction when Mr Blinkas talked about her sexually abusing Michael was heart breaking.

I want to hug him and hold him and lay him down in a field of horses.

Seriously? OK, maybe you would leave a million dollar complex and many hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of horses to a couple of dangerous, out-to-destroy-you psychopaths. I certainly wouldn’t. The real question you should ask yourself is why did she post how afraid she was but refused to leave? It was all a game to her. You simply don’t get it and never will.

Peggy died several years ago. I doubt Michael attended the funeral.

And I’ve had minor stomach issues for two weeks now. Wonder if they’re related to my stress worrying about him and the trial?

It seems so obvious, I am not sure why you keep having to repeat this.
The court system does not want you bothering them until you have told the person to leave.
