Barisone- New Thread

@RND I believe the snowflake is a reference to the movie Frozen, and the character Elsa. I have not seen the movie, but I think when MHM and Eggbutt post the snowflakes it is supposed to mean “I’m really chill like Elsa, and I won’t respond to your nonsense.”

It’s sort of a way to respond saying you refuse to respond.

Anyone not immersed in the thread would interpret it as you did; don’t apologize.

Taylor is up on the screen. Is everyone going to watch Dr. Simring together?

I’m in this thread for the long haul and I thought it was calling people snowflakes too :joy:

Wonder if they will even watch the video. I’ve seen it where they request info to see the next day, leave and come back the next morning, take a quick vote and find they all agree.

So now you are not only omniscient about the events in New Jersey that day, you are also a mind reader for the other posters on the BB?

Thank you for the explanation, that’s interesting. I missed it earlier amongst the sniping

Would the jury watch the video in the courtroom? Or would they just watch it in the jury room?

It’s not like the lawyers can interject anything at this point, I would think.

I interpreted it as shorthand for “Let it Go”.

As an aside, that popular interpretation of that song as a kind of “Hakuna Matata” statement had always bugged me. Elsa is not Zen at that point in the movie, she is saying “F all of you, I’m not trying to fit in anymore. I’m going to go live by myself on this mountain where I can be myself in peace”.

That’s my question too. I’m assuming they can give them a tv and play it? Or does it have to be in the big room so everyone is apprised as to what exactly was watched and to ensure NO NOTES are taken…

Me three. :woman_shrugging:

Let’s be honest though. We are ALL snowflakes. Beautiful, unique, sensitive, argumentative snowflakes.

I proudly own my snowflake status.

I think he’s doing the Wordle, he looks perplexed (and today’s word was a bit hard).

I’m the biggest snowflake, it’s even my screen name.

Was my recollection on your use of the snowflake wrong? What does it mean, if not calling someone a snowflake in the standard sense that RND and jealoushe assumed?

I never said I was omniscient “about the events in New Jersey that day”. Are you saying you think that?

Same. And I’ve been on COTH forever (though not that often the last few years).

I had no idea what the snowflakes were supposed to mean. Do I get long hauler demerits? It is like a rail down in SJ?
