OMG, I have to keep up and not wait for three days. That’s two hours I’ll never get back again.

Why isn’t there more discussion about this??? Who is this guy and what happened to him???

“Heymer did say when he turned right into the drive, he encountered an ‘older man on the phone’ who walked away as he arrived. Nothing more was said about that man”.

I think that there wasn’t much more discussion because that is literally all the info we have on it.

Because yankeeduchess was a toxic antagonist and IMO partially responsible for turning these threads as vile and as hate filled as they are. She was the gasoline to the dumpster fire. Idk which of us you were referring to being “another yankeeduchess” but none of us are like her. You can disagree with us but if you think we’re as bad as she was, you forgot how awful she really was.

No. Well, not that I know of.

If people are doing this they certainly are not posting about it.

This is just a case of someone trying to make posts like - you post just like XYZ poster or if you know this then you must know poster ABC - into something more than that.

Well, unless they are talking about LK’s post that has since been edited by the moderation staff because it stepped over the line about posting the identity of a poster.

It is funny that this person says they hate drama but then turns around makes drama that does not exist.

I think he made a 911 call but police were already on the scene at that time. I would be curious if he saw anything before police arrived.

Well, maybe it’s not…but it’d be steeped in very heavy speculation. We do have a lot of statements from LK about there being an unknown to MB thing about her cell phone at the time of the shooting. And then the “ear witness” references. And the weird really late 911 call by her father saying a lawyer called him about the shooting. Maybe it was who made the initial 911 call……since apparently gun shots are so common as to not make a stir for either RG or anyone else in the area. And the fact that the house was implied to be “in the middle of nowhere”…so if he wasn’t a direct neighbor then super weird.

Hmm, I believe the regulatory minimum age without parental permission for the net is 13, depending on the platform.
And there is such a thing called parenting. It is not our job to preserve your child’s innocence.
Adult decorum does not require us to avoid adult topics as long as we keep the language clean.

I wonder why?

This article said that 3 people called 911 the day of the shooting, the neighbor, LK, and LK’s father.

I would be curious if he heard the shots or the dispute beforehand.

But… Its so remote! LK insisted!

I have to say that if I were the neighbor at that place and I had seen the activity there that week, I would’ve been inclined to do the Homer Simpson routine of backing into the hedge once the police showed up.

Not to say that the neighbor should not have fulfilled his duty as a concerned citizen, but I would not blame him for stepping away from that situation at the earliest opportunity.

I believe that a poster in the first thread who was a neighbor, security system caught the sounds of the shots fired. I may be wrong on that, It has been a while since I read those posts. Does anyone else remember that?

I just want to say that this is not a really weird thing at all.
Lots of places are places where enough people target practice or hunt that periodic gun shots do not cause people to call 911.
I would guess these are rural type places that someone might describe like LK describes the barn/house.
Though I have neighbors close enough that no one would say I don’t have neighbors (they are way too close if you ask me), pretty much everyone has acreage so hunting and shooting noises happen frequently.

On his 911 call he said that he heard noise and went over to look but stayed 100 yards away. He mentioned that the noise that got his attention was “dogs barking”. I didn’t hear him mention hearing gun shots, but he was aware that someone had been shot.

Thanks, I think I would have stayed away too with not knowing what happened.

Right.
So why call when you hear three shots, I’m assuming the three being close together.

If the neighbor heard “barking” which attracted his attention, I wonder what it was about the barking?
A dogs bark can be pretty expressive.
If it was aggressive barking, cries of pain, shouts, arguing back and forth…

And if the neighbor(s) have surveillance that captures sound… That might be interesting and telling.

I can’t find the post I was thinking of now. Maybe someone else remembers it.

Actually, when he’s talking to the dispatcher, at one point the dispatcher instructs him to go over and talk to the officer on the scene (Heymer), and the neighbor says that he’s 100 yards away and doesn’t want to go closer! The neighbor apparently saw enough to know there was somebody shot and bleeding and that the officer had his gun drawn.

Thanks for posting the 911 calls. I listened to them way back, but I forget the details.

Oh man, there is someone who still hasn’t figured out that if you miss your target with the first and second shots, the next 4 to 6 aren’t any more likely to succeed. If I called 911 every time this happened they’d be very annoyed at the waste of their time & resources.
