That is correct. The attorney cannot reveal the substance or information about a conversation in confidence between himself and his client. If the client chooses to talk about it, that’s the client’s right.
I thought it was funny that LK felt that the name of the attorney she was speaking to was covered by privilege and she tried to toss that in there like she was giving Bilinkas a gift. No, your attorney’s name is not privileged.
ETA: One of the most common ways to waive the privilege is to have a third party present at the time of the communication. Waiver also occurs when a client or lawyer later discloses privileged information to a third party, here, the court.

Aaaah. You must have missed the brouhaha over on the SafeSport thread several months ago when Lala lectured multiple attorneys, including one who also teaches law, regarding the finer points of privilege.
It was really something. I will admit to munching some popcorn, drinking some wine, and observing…

Maybe because Lk was beginning to act like she posts on SM. I suspect LK started acting bonkers, MB tried to get to to leave, talking with her or JK, and was met with threats and such to the point he did freak out and shut down anyone complaining about LK because they were going to “ruin” him. Also they stopped paying, but offered this whack barter to MB, who couldn’t think of a better plan that to accept it.
That to me, makes the most sense based on my experience and the trial.

Phone call described as ‘one of the wildest calls in his experience’ - reprimanded by Taylor just answer - David states he thought it needed context.
ED was trying to get ahold of Lauren, she didn’t answer so he called RG. He was in his car when he called.
He spoke to RG, then at some point spoke to LK. He told RG he wanted to speak to LK and so RG gave over phone.
ED heard LK say “oh my god, there’s barisone, he’s got a gun”, then he heard gunshots. He believes LK said “he shot me in the heart/chest”, phone dropped. ED in shock, he disconnected call. He didn’t know if it was real or not, it was a bizarre thing to hear during a tenancy issue call. He called RG cell back and nobody answered.
He pulled over car and called someone to tell them what he heard.
He specifically heard TWO shots.
He was yelling “Lauren Lauren are you ok?”
He learned something that day - when you are out in a particular area and you call 911 - you get the LOCAL police department. He was not local. West Orange.
He hung up and pulled over.
Thought to himself ‘where is Lauren’ - had forgotten MB’s name. He Googled Washington Township. Found wrong one first, then finally got correct one. Explained farm - said there were previous incidents - Police said ‘Barisone farm’ and that they were aware and sending a unit out.

Cross ED:
Met with LK on the 6th. That was first time he’d ever met with her person to person, has spoken with her previously on the phone.
LK was client, but father JK had made connection. RG was NOT a client.
On 6th - Was ED aware they recorded their meeting? not aware then, is now. Has never seen the transcript. It was ED, LK, RG, JK in meeting. Doesn’t directly remember RG there, but wouldn’t dispute it.
