Barisone Trial Starting Monday, 3/28

Cross Davidson

Interview with prosecutors. Didn’t mention LK running out of house.
Nobody came to go into the barn other than MB.

Gotcha, thank you for explaining.

Agreed. Which is probably why Bilinkas called him as a witness. Bilinikas asked about the content, it was objected. Sidebar. Sustained. Bilinkis asked what a report COULD generally contain and was done.

The relevance is the timing.

LK gets shot, runs in a circle, runs upstairs to get RG, at some point sets down his phone and picks up her own, and then tries to dial 911. But she says she can’t unlock her phone, because of the blood on her hands.

THEN she says she tries to help RG restrain MB and beats him over the head.

So according to @Angela_Freda ‘s theory and point… if the blood on her hands was MB’s, and was there because of the beating she gave him on the head… then that happened BEFORE she tried to call 911. And the timeline of events she testified to doesn’t work.

Hey @Angela_Freda - please correct me if I am missing the point you have been making. But I think this is the point.

Next witness works for the health department regarding building codes, permits, etc. She had dealt with MB for years in that capacity for work done at the farm.

Balinkas has mastered the art of the dramatic pause.

This allows time for the information just told to settle into the jurors brains.

I would hire Balinkas in a NY minute. He is slow, methodical, professional and is very likeable.

I love his suit today.

@Virginia_Horse_Mom, that is how I understand it too.

I was going to say, I am digging that tie pairing. Good for him.

Health department witness describes MB as very, very distraught, disheveled, etc., on her visit there on August 6th, especially compared to her previous experiences with him over the years.

She and several other town officials went to the farm that day in response to RG’s complaint.

Yes, this suit fits much better!

No idea why the prosecutor just asked if she had ever seen MB train a horse. Bilinkas let it go because she said he was very professional. Oops.

Health inspector on Cross - saw many things that would have required permits that weren’t permitted. No immediate health/environmental end results.

Also noted the barn septic wasn’t built for lots of use.

Oooh. That was good on Bilinkas’ part, about getting her to say she had a “bad feeling “ about RG. That was effective.

She was a great witness

Health department witness said RG gave her a bad feeling as soon as she met him on August 6th.
