I so far have to applaud fireman Lopez for being so transparent, clear, and concise with his answers, even when it may have not been extremely flattering on his behalf. I really appreciate that.
There’s a prospective employer for RG….
My guess is that he was wondering if they were going to ask him about the cash he got under the table…
True
Ah. Dog bites.
Sidebar anyone? Why not. It’s 4 O’clock somewhere.
On ten minute break now.
Hey so remember how everyone was criticizing Bilinkas for getting his hand slapped by the judge every 5 minutes?
We’ve had three sidebars in 20 minutes and so far Bilinkas has been allowed to proceed each time.
Well… it’s the truth about the company my relative works for that does all sorts of construction in the Philadelphia, NJ, and NY area.
It’s owned by an Italian American family. Was established in the 50’s, and originally was a waste management company that branched out into construction and real estate as well.
My relative has worked for them for over three decades now. Heard many many interesting stories…
This is one of the first trials I’ve ever watched live. It is VERY helpful to have an unbiased and knowledgeable voice helping out with the procedural side of things.
Better to beg forgiveness then ask permission?
Or ask him if he verified when the photos were taken…
The Legal field court system tends to have a very large liquid lunch population because drugs are illegal so the folks tend to drink.
Maybe he was going to fix the fire detectors. He thought they moved out (like he did) and needed to house himself and his employees. Brought the gun in case they showed back up.
I loved the hay guy. What a genuine person.
To our legal eagles while court is on break - Is it quite unusual for a judge to start questioning a witness (such as we just saw)? It started as a “here, ask it like this” but ended up with Taylor actually directing questions at the witness.
I was also in healthcare (trauma service, anesthesia, etc) for over 25 years and am cringing at some of the things I am seeing and reading on this forum.

This is the kind of nonsense that makes good citizens hate jury duty.
I missed all morning’s testimony. Can/will someone nutshell for me how that casually dressed attorney bombed?
(Does anyone in NJ respect the courts enough to come prepared and dressed for respect.)
Re the First Marshall orders… In his shoes, I certainly would have been frustrated that LK and RG could stay in my house, after that stunt that got my family sleeping under the stars…
As I posted above, there’s many for whom the prevailing theory is “you miss 100% of the shots you don’t take.” There’s no penalty for getting your question shot down, really. Almost all of these have been hearsay objections and if you’re creative enough there’s a way to get in almost anything under any of the 30 possible exceptions to hearsay. So, making a go of it has better odds than not.
