That’s a violation of the Order of Protection.
I said the same to Sdel, but in my state, he could be transferred to FL while under a commitment order, if they have similar laws on the books (and I expect they do - most states do). In some cases I’ve been involved with, states have just let commitment orders drop when the individual leaves the state, but as this is well publicized, I imagine they’ll keep a closer eye on it.
Like the poster in the YouTube comments said too, they may just release the order after the 30 day assessment. To me, his history of engaging with mental health care is such a positive sign. He has a history of insight into his functioning and willingness to pursue treatment. If his recent condition is resolved or well managed, I could easily see the commitment being dropped. A major barrier many face is a lack of insight that they need care and a reluctance to engage in that treatment, which doesn’t fit with MB’s history at all.
That’s reassuring to read, and makes sense to me.
What a sad case. It’s pretty obvious this family is quite adept at using the legal system to further their goals. I worry about the continued stress this man might face because of that.
I guarantee you at some point mutual orders of protection will exist.
Order will read that party is not to
Of course not that sex part but rather language like harass, alarm, engage, stalk, threaten, malign…
Finally caught up on this thread (not the other one yet).
What an outcome! I’d have preferred NG on all as I legitimately did not think the state proved its case. But, the jurors are the fact finders and I appreciate how seriously they took their duties. Even though IM once called juries stupid (or some other put down), I think the folks in that position really do take it seriously and do their level best to make the most just decision possible given what they have to work with.
If IM, Seeker1, and LK want to see the NGRI as a win - a win big enough to celebrate with champagne (at least for the ones not in recovery/currently using), then I say throw them that bone and let them chew on it. Not much of a meal there.
If this was a victory, it was one of the most pyrrhic and costly I could imagine.
With what has been publicly exposed about LK, RG and the whole family, if I were them, I would not be able to leave the house for some time, let alone come on here and elsewhere crowing, blustering and threatening. That their extended family/friend circle is also participating speaks volumes.
Good luck and godspeed, Michael and his loved ones.
Realistically, there are a lot of horse people in general, and dressage people in particular, who live in that vicinity. Anyone who wants to show in that neighborhood in the winter is going to be in that general area.
How long has LK lived there?
In my state, it would be able to be transferred, so long as the “receiving state” (where he’s going) has similar statutes. Im guessing N.J. is similar - some states also allow for transfer to private facilities, especially if the client can pay for the services.
I think private care will probably be planned for. I’m sure Mr.Barisone’s people will have private psych care arrangement options thought out by the time of his hearing. The judge won’t insist that he stay at an overburdened State facility.
So…30 day psych evaluation at the State facility, a court hearing and then on to whatever level of private care is deemed appropriate.
Not long at all. House recently purchased.
So what would happen if both parties wanted to attend the same horse show?
If it’s allowed they will have to stay apart from one another. Personally if they could afford it I would strongly suggest MB hiring a bodyguard. A pro. Retired cop from that area maybe but big and fit. That person or persons will not only keep crazies away but can act as witnesses should there be false allegations made whenever MB is at a show.
The bigger the entourage the better. MB should never be alone.
That’s such a great point. I think we need a petition to have her removed from USEF

I wonder if “Hay Guy” ( ) would be willing to relocate…
I have read at least 50 different people proposing the same thing on FB. These people aren’t together. It’s like 50 people individually getting the same idea at the same time.
And it’s not just MB based. People consider her too dangerous be around. I was a bit surprised by the number of people thinking of their own safety and ironically not at all worried about MB but very worried of LK.
I also worry for the horses. We have a woman at my barn who is completely unstable and her poor horses are a mess.

How long has LK lived there?
LK seems to have been living there for some time, though no exact date of first residence is known and she seems to have been living there as a renter before it was purchased. Her father bought the home at the end of August and put her name on the ownership record with his own, but the paperwork didn’t clear until months later.
But it sounds like she was not living there before August 2019? So she decided to live that close to MB’s property sometime since then?
I finally kept up with both posts this morning.
I am so happy for MB.
I wish him a happy life from now on and hope horses help him heal.
I agree that it would be a great ending if safesport remove LK so she cannot attend competitions or board at USEF Stables. #leaveMBinpeace
