I think the part about being an FEI ranked dressage rider is misleading (OK, just plain false)…Rank, yes, but that’s more about smell than anything else. Perhaps a new handle could be LaLaPoopRider.

SafeSport seems like they could be the first party to act against her though, as they can do so independently of the NGB. That’s actually the whole point of the way it is designed. Then, all of LKs claims that MB and MHG pulled high level strings with the NGB to get action taken against her become moot.

Also… as a mother, while watching the trial and hearing about the DCPP visit on 08/07/19, I actually thought about MHG’s kids, and how LKs choice to weaponize SafeSport might have impacted them.

If MHG hadn’t sent them away to stay with their Dad because of the increasing tensions at the farm, they would have been there that day when the DCPP investigator showed up to look into alleged abuse.

Think about that. Those kids would have been TERRIFIED that they were going to be taken away from their mom.

That’s emotionally abusive to those kids.

Frankly… LK seems to have a pattern of behavior with respect to leveraging of information she gathers about other women’s children, if LK has a jealousy issue with the other woman. Her comments and harassment of Joey Staagard with respect to Joey’s tragically deceased child fit this pattern. LK uses information about her ‘target’s’ children to try and hurt the other woman she has fixated upon. If the children get hurt in the process? Oh well. LK doesn’t care. But SafeSport should.

The working student that RG threatened? Well… her mother is closely tied to MB. I think it’s part of the ongoing pattern. And if that young woman is still active in the sport (I believe she is)… you better believe she is at risk for ongoing targeting and harassment by LK and RG.

I think SafeSport should really look at the bigger pattern of behavior with LK, and how minors are actually at risk of getting caught up in LKs ongoing campaigns of harassment and emotional abuse of anyone and everyone she perceives as a rival. There are plenty of female pros and adult ammies who participate in dressage who are also mothers. All of them are at risk of having their kids threatened by a creep like RG at a barn or horse show, or having weird anonymous complaints made to SS or Child Protective Services if LK gets fixated upon them, and wants to cause them pain.

Mothers who are also athletes who participate in the sport should not be subject to this sort of emotional abuse. It’s bad for the mothers. and frankly horrible for the children.

In closing… I hope MHG’s poor kids are doing ok, and realize that NOTHING that happened back in August of 2019 was their fault. NOTHING. A crazy woman got angry and jealous of their Mom, and her boyfriend, and that woman tried to use information she gathered from secret recording devices, and call in an obviously fake complaint regarding these kids, just to hurt their Mom. And MB emotionally cracked under all the pressure. But none of that’s the fault of these poor kids. Not at all. And I hope they know that.

Hmm. That’s an interesting point.

But I wonder if safe sport is only limited to taking action against members. Imagine a hypothetical situation where somebody at a horse show who is not a member of the organization was doing something bad to the young girls who were always around for the shows.

It could be a person who works at the facility or works at the food stand or whatever. I wonder what safe sport would do in that situation?

Because it has not quite crossed that line yet? Because IM has pretty much seemed to dox himself at times - with LK’s help? I am not sure - why don’t you ask the moderators?

YD used to delight in assigning other posters opinions, motives and agendas that they did not have… there is no need for any of us to emulate that style.

The posters who I was describing as LK - sympathetic, myself included, are not “making excuses for her behavior”.

That is what you(g) seem to be doing when you(g) give justifications for her appalling behavior, try to ignore it or gloss over it… or label others as MB fangirls or what have you if they have concerns about LK’s words and actions. For those of us who have just wanted to follow the case and sort things out throughout these threads, it has been very hard at times to wade through the warring factions…

My position is that 80,000 posts trashing and bashing her is not helpful for any purpose. I think she is reviled for her nasty behavior on SM, by people who have now dedicated their lives to being nasty on SM out of apparent pleasure in trashing her.

LK is the one who is dedicated to her SM games, taunts and threats. I feel sorry for her - that no one who truly cares for her can or will step in and go whoa… easy… as opposed to just patting her on the head and egging her on.

You seem to think this will all just go away and everyone will find peace. I also wish that were the case…

But as we have already seen, LK does not seem to be inclined to let that happen.

Those around MB are probably well aware of that.

Sadly, this is far from over.

I can’t say it seemed like he really had much to contribute to the discussion. I wonder if the main reason he wanted to participate was so that he could make sure they included the word “former” in his description as her lawyer.

I wonder if he also asked them to use bigger type on that one word. And maybe a different font. Lol.

I hope she’s doing ok. She’s been through a lot over the last few years. I can’t even imagine.

She is currently showing in the CDI at WEC. I believe she showed yesterday in the GP and will show again tomorrow (?). Wishing her good luck in the show and peace as she moves forward with her life.

Let’s talk about Barisone, find a way to send him get well cards, support JH and MHG, support dressage in general but let us in all ways pretend that the Kanareks and their sock puppets don’t exist.

It will hard, but I promise, there will be no worse fate for them than to be treated as if they are unworthy of attention or don’t exist. .

I agree with this 100%. Well. not 100%. I think it would be the best possible situation for MB, his supporters, the dressage community, and for LK.

And that’s endorsement from a sock puppet! No offense intended, I’m sure.

I had to go back and catch up on posts I missed… and I agree with this idea in principle - it will be hard to make it work, though…
