Perhaps the correct term is civil commitment. He has been committed for at least 30 days for a mental health evaluation. He will be back in court on 5/17 (barring schedule change) for a hearing to determine whether he still poses a risk to himself or others (and what to do about it if he does).

I hope your daughter gets the help she needs. The jury found her to be an unreliable historian. There is a reason they saw her that way.
She has many gifts. Hopefully she will start using them to better her community.

No, the findings of the jury were that Michael Barisone wasnât responsible for shooting her because he was insane.

I am so happy that justice was served. MB is a broken man and I hope he can get the help he needs. What is so ironic is that LK wanted to show everyone what big, bad MB did to her, when in reality it showed just how sick she and RG are. I hope all the trainers/boarders at her new barn take all the precautions to make sure this does not happen to them. I would imagine LK is pretty angry right now. I guess karma does exist.

âŠHow is it a lie if he was literally found NG? Whether by RI (against the charges related to LK) or not (against the charges related to RG). Itâs still, ultimately, Not Guilty.

Just randomly venting at this point, but Iâm so tired of people falling over themselves to praise her as âbright and creativeâ with âsuch potential.â We tend to have a blind spot as a society with skinny blonde women, I see this a lot. Pretty but psychotic Caucasians are somehow just so chock full of potential. Huge eye roll.

If you are really Laurenâs momâŠplease know that many of us feel sorry for you being in this position. As someone with a family member who exhibits many of the same traits as your daughter, I know you have little control over anything she does and that perfectly good parents can end up with a child like her, through no fault of your own. That must be an incredible burden. I believe Lauren has siblingsâŠI hope the rest of your family life gives you peace and joy.
