Well, I’m not sure I said the “MB did lots of terrible, horrible things to LK”. Part of it is what he did not do: give her 30 days notice in April, May, or June, (or better yet, tell her she could not train with him in NJ in spring 2019 at all) when it became clear that MHG had a lot of animosity toward LK. I also think the absence of clear written contracts on the renovations and horse sale contributed to the mess.

MB and MHG wanted USEF to ban LK, and my interpretation of the PI report was to “compile” a file of damning stuff, along with reports from her SM enemies like GJ and HB.
Why does that seem unreasonable to you? It’s not like they were making up the damming evidence. They were being harassed and tortured (by LKs own admission) and they were hoping the USEF would put some action behind all their talk about preventing bullying in the sport.

Obvious to who? It seems like he not only wanted her to stop torturing him and his family, but was hoping to prevent her from doing it to others in the industry. I would call her past behaviour - enough of it to fill 700 pages - hostile.

She reciprocated by filing a SS complaint on him. I thought when I first listened to the 911 calls (for: they’re in the barn after 9:00 pm; they posted a creepy FB post 14 hours ago; the clients refuse to sign a contract I want them to sign) that he was using the police to harass them. In retrospect, it may be explained by his delusions. But calling 911 because a client declined to sign a contract is either harassment or excused by delusional behavior.
Sigh. You need to change the record; this one’s broken. It has been explained to you multiple times he didn’t call 911 because they wouldn’t sign a waiver. He called 911 because they were threatening him. They were threatening him because he asked them to sign a waiver.

He may have blown off their request for payment for the renovations (I have no idea who owed who what; but I can see the sloppy financial dealings may have led to an unresolved financial dispute. They reciprocated by calling the FM and BI. Telling the farrier not to shoe LKs horses.
So you think advising a farrier that you’ve started the eviction process and he shouldn’t shoe their horses is on the same level as illegal recordings, breaking into offices, entering the barn after hours, uttering threats, sneaking around at night dressed as a ninja and filing false reports with SS? Sounds like MB isn’t the only delusional one.

I see the two sides as tragically evenly matched in terms of being willing to “cut off their own nose to spite their face” rather than back down. Each side stupidly refused to back down. Both sides ended up in a much worse situation than was available if they had been willing to back down.
You keep saying this but nothing you’ve posted suggests an “even match” at all. Doing a background check and telling the farrier not to shoe their horses somehow doesn’t balance out the scales against the deliberate campaign of harassment and torture LK and RG freely admit to.

That’s a little bit hilarious, given:

A. The amount of extremely vigorous pushback that theory has received here. And.

B. The incredibly small likelihood that a bunch of random strangers posting here on the BB could have any sway over the legal decisions of MB’s team.

If anything, the overwhelming scorn heaped on that idea by the vast majority of posters here might encourage MB’s team to push ahead with the civil trial. If, in fact, they ever had any doubts whatsoever on the subject. Lol.

Someone is trying to set the narrative that LK cannot be viewed as solely accountable for the situation that led to MB’s mental break and the destruction of his business and livelihood - that he himself was somewhat responsible by the way he was conducting his personal life. The constant harping by a certain someone about MB’s marriage, divorce, and involvement with MHG makes no sense otherwise. The intent is an attempt to sway any of his friends or associates who are reading this thread, in hopes they can persuade him to offer a settlement. It makes me wonder if they are worried about their case, given the verdict in the criminal trial and the public unveiling of LK and RG as junkies, squatters, grifters, and psychological terrorists.

Yes, anyone from the outside reading these thousands and thousands of posts bashing, researching, and scrutinizing LK and her family will certainly be shocked at the posts stating there was a lot going on in MB’s life beyond a problematic boarder.

MH testified she met MB in her teens and they were together since 2015. VK filed for divorce in 2017 and didn’t open her own business until about April 2019 which is also about the time MB complained to MH that it was hard to feel good after being “clipped” by VK for $965,000.

Early on, posters that knew them said that VK was living in the house while MH was living in the barn and MB had joined MH. I thought one of the LK bashing MB groupie actually knew something when they said VK was out prior to LK moving in summer of 2018 but not I doubt that person’s knowledge as they are wrong on other easily checked items.

While I’m commenting, a couple of other items were misreported up thread. The FM gave them a temporary ok to stay that night off the photos pending a physical inspection to verify work done. He didn’t waive the inspection requirement, it was a temporary permission.

Also, RC testified she did not give MB any ammunition, one magazine was empty and one might have had a couple of rounds left over from prior target shooting. I can’t remember any other 9 mm hand guns. There was a .22 and a .45 and both were rendered inoperable by removal of the firing pins.

The third guy on site was the one that searched MB and read him his rights. The second guy watched RG at all times and watched him place the dog just inside the door. Then later he was part of a 3 man team to search the house.

ED had not presented the deal for LK to move yet. He was on his way over to tell her and on the phone when she was shot by MB. The unfiled demand letter from the say before would give her 30 days to move after being filed so she still had time to look around for another place. The mom that testified that there were several places had not yet moved her horses either and she was looking.

The continued focus on LK being the sole source of MB’s stress lines up with Dr Schlesinger who said she was a threat, MB was sane and attempted murder.

We all know the jury believed Dr Simring and Dr Hasson who found LK was not a threat and instead MB was under a delusion that she was and therefore was insane when he shot her so not criminally liable. If he can ever be released as sane and no longer a threat to himself or others, he may have supervised freedoms such as to stay in New Jersey and away from LK or he may have full freedom restored.

I have said before that continued feeding of his delusions on this forum that he may eventually be allowed to read is not being his friend, it is not doing him any favors. It is not wise. It may be harmful.

CH is fine with her speculation. There were a lot of comments in the first thread about both. To say her questions are not her business is almost humorous in its double standard considering the levels of speculation about LK and her family. How is that the business of anyone?

MB was up against a lot. He had a divorce, the loss of a business partnership (wife), loss of a barn manager (wife), a new love, the loss of a new love, financial loss, 8-9 concussions plus aging with those injuries, possibly having male aging issues and keeping up with younger fit women, cash flow challenges, ice and water damage to his house, a lot of horses without board being paid (his own-unknown number, MH’s 8-9 and no she wasn’t counting MB’s because she also testified to not having a business relationship with him) the barter deal was unsatisfactory for 2 of LK’s horses, and LK was by testimony being disorderly. MB had changed from being the Olympic contender to teaching and mentoring contenders. He might still get a fantastic horse and go but he had entered a kind of passing the baton to the younger contenders.

I think if LK heard them talking about scaring her out and perhaps even keeping a horse of hers for board and was then shot by a party to that conversations handgun, it is reasonable that she then began to believe there was a conspiracy to kill her even if, at the time, it was the furthest thing from anyone’s mind.

I think LK and MB were a terrible mix and very bad for each other, their personalities clashed in a horrible way.

I agree MH had to bail because of her kids. I also believe her dad came because he was worried for her for a lot of reasons, not just what was stated.

This is all a terrible tragedy. MB wrecked his life and scarred her for life. He may get out of an institution someday but then again, he may be there for life. He had two friends for sure-the nice lawyer friend and LO. I hope he realizes what LO is doing for him and treats her wonderfully for their lives going forward.

These last pages are about the civil case. If LK can be seen as not the primary factor in MBs breakdown, then her liability in his loss of income becomes less. I see it as trying to minimize their contributions to damages. But, I am not a lawyer and am naturally suspicious.

One more thing. If someone was going to try to figure out who everyone is, I don’t think they would post in a way to challenge the fragile story version revolving here endlessly. I think they would post on YouTube and post here and once they had passed the popularity check of bashing LK and family then say they wanted help with training or buying a horse and slowly ferret out each identify. They may also enlist a friend to help. They won’t be posting different views. It’s too easy to reel some of y’all in with a few posts repeating what some of y’all have repeated endlessly through thousands and thousands of posts, seems a bit obsessive but it sure makes it easy for someone to slide right in.

Except for the terms that Mr Tarshis worked out with her dad, which were presented but she decided didn’t meet her needs. That’s when JK contacted ED. After she’d already turned down a deal, and Mr Tarshis advised the next step would be eviction, JK hired an attorney to go forward.

Now, you are correct, whatever ED may have come up with was never presented, but that wasn’t the first deal.

MH testified they shipped, via UPS, a 720 page package to USEF/SS the day before, day of, sometime very close to the shooting. Logically LK had already contacted SS before MB/MH did.

Calling 911 because someone is assaulting you verbally in response to your request may be entirely valid, though.

True. His stated reason for the 911 call was that the clients were refusing to sign the contract, though.

On listening to the call, I found it bizarre. On learning of the verdict of insanity/delusional behavior, I reinterpreted in light of delusional behavior.

I have been “assaulted verbally” once or twice, and it never occurred to me to call 911.

Well, at least you are back to focussing on this call instead of relationships and the timing thereof… circling one way - and then the other.

When you were “assaulted verbally” or threatened, did you have a tumultuous history and issues with that person as MB did? If you had called 911 - or anyone - would you give a quick explanation of what happened before the “verbal assaults/threat” began as MB did? If so, how heinous!!

You are presenting this as if this call/incident simply fell out of the clear blue sunny sky for no reason whatsoever - and that nasty meanie MB decided to try and make sweet LK look bad for no reason - the poor thing! /s

Quite the opposite — they were part of an ongoing, escalating struggle between MB & MHG and LK & RG.

On a 911 call I’d state the actual reason for the call
first — verbal assault if that was the reason — and fill in the background and context later. But I’m not faulting him for a call that sounds delusional if he was, in fact, delusional at the time he made it.
