Barisone Verdict Is In: Not Guilty By Reason of Insanity

It’s a publicly listed business address. This ain’t doxing.

It’s insane! I haven’t seen one comment yet saying they disagree with the verdict. It created a huge public reaction, totally in favor to MB. Karma is a big, beautiful b*tch.

I wonder if there is a parting of ways between the lovebirds, if the true story will come out. Think Papa will offer a $$ in exchange for an NDA?

I was not implying that it was doxing. I was simply pointing out that it is generally more polite to not offer up the office of someone as a transfer for what is assumed large quantities of mail without first asking them if it is OK to do that.

Do you think he would have the ability to stick to an NDA?

Looks like this video has Mr Bilinkas speaking

Oh, I have.
There are people out there, that are not part of the LK clan that also do not understand this verdict.
The thing is, most of them have not followed any of the details of the trial so all they know is some guy shot some woman and got away with it. They do not know the depth of the horrible harassment that the LK clan was capable of.

Exactly

Yeah, I can see him taking the money, signing an NDA, and then selling his story to the highest bidder.

Considering that Barisone likely is in a fragile state despite the verdicts, it would not be helpful to receive a lot of mail and messages from strangers about this. He has his real-life support and friends. They can be effective by communicating with him.
His attorney is his legal representation, not his personal assistant. He has other clients, the work, if there is any with the May hearing, probably has been handed over to an assistant.
The time to contact SafeSport and other groups is if and when they take up an appeal of Barisone’s ban or declare an action against Lauren. They are overwhelmed with cases from all sports, most not equestrian.
The idea of contacting her barn is horrible. I think it is shameful that they and trainers have been publically identified in something they have no ties to. Someone could contact your barn and show your SM posts and harass them that you should be tossed out.
Everyone should snowflake, let it go.

Since you tagged me I will respond - I personally think knowing that there are so many people out there on his side during all this will probably make his recovery easier.

That does not mean I think it is OK to just say “send it to his lawyer”. Those are two different thoughts, cards for MB = great. Volunteering a business without their consent to handle the cards =/= good.

Thanks for posting that!!!

I love the fact that they also showed the clip of the Kanarek’s civil lawyer hanging himself there. I hope that comes back to haunt him.

I do wish the video had included the response to that civil lawyer from the legal talking heads on the show.

I did read one post somewhere from someone that doesn’t support the verdict. They were just really black and white about it; no one should shoot anyone. Ever. If they do, they’re guilty and should remain in prison.

I can kind of understand this, but you have to be a bit flexible with your thinking when it comes to certain situations. It’s not always so cut and dry. They also don’t believe in “Insanity” it may be a hard concept to grasp. To each their own, I suppose.

I don’t see that happening. RG is a drug addict who is incapable of functioning as a productive member of society and he depends on LK for money, a roof over his head, and all manner of creature comforts, including drugs. He knows that he will never find a better deal than the one he has right now. Even if the thought has crossed his mind, JK would have to give him a large six-figure sum - in cash - or make continuous payments to cut ties with LK and JK likely doesn’t want to do that, because he knows that someone has to take care of his daughter and he has neither the interest or ability to do that himself.

Letters of support are always very much welcome in defense attorneys’ offices. It’s exactly the sort of thing Bilinkis will be holding up during the hearing to see if he can return to real life in a month.

It’ll be up to Barisone to demonstrate he’s fit to rejoin society, but society demonstrating that society wants him back will go a very long way in making that decision easier.

I can understand that reaction if people just heard the bare bones version and did not actually know any of the details of the case.

That was really what all the legal talking heads were saying before the case started. It was only after they actually watched some of the testimony and found out more about it that they started to say something completely different.

I thought I read somewhere it was the K’s wanting RG to stick around.

I’m not going to mention the name, since I think it was deleted from a previous thread. But seeing RG in court, he really did remind me of someone who did a very bad thing in a previous legal case involving horse people. And when that person decided to cooperate with the authorities after he got caught, it almost turned out very badly for him.

So we’ll just have to wait and see how things turn out in the end for RG.

I think I was just looking at it from my perspective that they may eventually get tired of his grifting drug-addicted self. He reminds me of too many people I have known, some were loved family members. It’s so draining to have that in your life.

You may be right though. That family may see it differently than mine.

Someone had posted something in the L&C chat and I reposted it here, but I feel as though it was mistyped by the person who put it out there. I believe that what the individual meant to say - because they said that they had been talking to RG - was that RG was worried that LK would leave him (or kick him out) after JK bought the house. Remember that RG was proudly called “fiance” after the shooting, but had recently gone back to being referred to as “boyfriend”, by LK and before the shooting, he was often called “partner”. That indicates a lopsided relationship where she is the one setting all the rules and dictating everything that he does with his time and it fits with what we’ve learned about his co-dependent relationship with her.
