Barisone Verdict Is In: Not Guilty By Reason of Insanity

I would expect that if any of these suits proceed, the issue of paying RG for work will evaporate.

Your point really doesn’t make sense. First I doubt RG is going to be included in any law suit funded by LK’s father. Second, RG has admitted he is owed no money. Third, RGs situation is irrelevant to LK’s in terms of actual compensation for injury. RG has lost nothing over the past 2 years. LK has had an actual injuryhowever it happened. Paying RG a token sum isn’t going to somehow make LK’s lawyers drop their comprehensive approach to suing all the entities connected to the situation. That’s a strategy, sue all the entities. It’s totally standard. And it’s not about RG being owed money.

As though this would be entirely up to LK, lol. You suffer from delusional thinking if you believe MB would ever choose to be anywhere near LK ever again.

Why. It is LK’s lawsuit. RG’s name is nowhere on it. There is no legal mechanism under which LK’s suit can bring claims nor collect money on behalf of RG.

That you keep making this claim, under the authority of IM’s credibility, is ridiculous.

Or that anyone around him would let that happen, even if they had to tackle him to the ground in a group like a rugby scrum.

Nothing CH is saying makes any sense in the way civil suits and damages work. Or indeed real life. It’s fine to keep chitchatting, but it’s more useful to ground yourself in some basic legal principles.

If you want someone’s cooperation, you’re much more likely to get it if you show basic respect rather than calling them a scumbag, druggie squatter. In this case just entertaining that there was a legitimate difference of opinion on what was owed would have qualified as “respect”.

Interestingly, Court TV experts are talking about “the campaign LK and RG launched against him”. And, how much the criminal case hurts their civil case right now. Their experts seem to think LK’s civil claim is a ship with a big ole hole in it right now.

I think it may be time for a little flurry.

Again, what did RG do to earn any respect? Not why you think MB a should have given it to him. Specifically, how was he owed any?

Well, when I go to her page, it says “You’re blocked” in bold, black type, so I think I’m blocked. No idea why, but definitely not going to investigate further.

And maybe consider yourself lucky.

I stated that IM stated that SGF has acknowledged in writing that SGF as the property owner owes money to RG. Someone asked why I believed IMs statement. I explained that I thought the acknowledgement by SGF might well be cost effective in getting them out of the suit, so I found IMs statement likely to be true.

The Kanareks seem to go through lawyers like the rest of us go through a roll of paper towels! Well, to be fair, maybe the attorneys fire the Kanareks!

I said that LK didn’t necessarily prefer a straight guilty verdict that would put MB in prison for decades. It is indeed entirely up to LK as to whether she is bothered that MB was judged NGI as opposed to guilty.

Obviously whether MB chooses to train LK in the future is up to MB.

I just went through the civil suit documents and RG’s name is nowhere on them, with LK seeking to prevent Barisone from selling his horses and other assets and demanding financial recompense, claiming continued long-term suffering and lost wages from employment.

That was my point. If you want someone’s cooperation, it is strategically important to show a very basic level of respect, or at least refrain from blatant disrespect, irrespective of the level of respect you think is “owed”.

You really don’t understand this principle for your everyday life?

I am in Canada and I think donating to The Innocence Project in MB’s name could work to show support also. MB will be notified of the donations and hopefully feel the LOVE.
If someone in the US has other charities for Mental Health Resources please speak up. That is what I would prefer to donate to in MB’s name but I was not able to find reputable US charities.

I expect that part of the civil suit will be eliminated now that it has been testified in court that it is not true.

I expect the point was to simply protect themselves from any debts owed by MB. Now that RG has admitted under oath that there was no debt I expect that will be amended.

Note also that all these suits and counter suits were filed after the shooting and put on hold until after the trial.

Civil suits are like criminal charges to the extent they can be amended or withdrawn if new facts come to light. I would expect any claim about RG being owed money to evaporate.

More broadly no amount of money paid to RG has any bearing on the damages suffered by LK. Paying RG for handyman work does not change the SGF liability for LK’s injuries. I don’t know how to make this any more clear… The 2 things are unrelated legally.

I am interested to see if LK follows through on the civil suit. If she does, if will be very ugly and I wonder if there will be counter suits for damages from her. I can’t see a jury being generous.

Anyhow, no, SGF can’t buy their way out of a liability for injury by paying a token sum for handyman work to the injured party’s boyfriend. How is this even an idea? Thats just not how injuries claims work.
