My thing is that she was quite insistent with me that she had a job and career. The same job for a number of years and it involved travel in the form of flying. From what I know now, this would appear to be false. Why lie about it? Just be honest that the money comes from your father and your fortunate enough to be able to pursue your hobbies with your free time. There’s nothing wrong with that. We all have different life styles. Most fund their own way, some have family money, some married into money, or whatever else.
Initially I got the impression that she did not work (again, fine) and was perhaps looking to cash in on these civil suits. That was my assumption, and I’m willing to be wrong. I’m thinking she could get something from the lawsuits, but I’m not sure that it’d be so substantial. I would think this only occurs when one can prove loss of income because they actually had a self made income prior to the event that rendered them injured, disabled, or temporarily unable to work. There might be insurance stuff involved but that’d be between the insurers and MB/his insurers, I would think. So from a “how it all works” perspective, I am curious about the Civil cases. Damages and whatnot are a bit different in the US.
