BEHOLDER !!!

HOly Smokes… she just turned on the afterburners and BLEW by Bayern and everybody else. Just awesome. Pacific Classic is a win and you’re in, so let’s see where Mandela will take her !

That was a seriously impressive move. OMG.

I think that may have been the greatest move I have ever seen. Just my opinion based upon my experience. Freaking awesome mare!

itching to see the video…

Agree… I thought Secretariat’s move in the Preakness was one of the best, but I think this beats that. She lit up like a rocket!

Rivals Arazi’s move in the BC Juvenile. Arguably better as this was a field full off older horses, including a BC Classic winner.

Performances like that remind me I love horse racing.

They have to go to the Classic with this mare. Bring on Beholder vs Pharoah!!

I loved the commentary. Cantering on a loose rein… exercise run…romped ot home.

That was so much fun to watch! I love it when the girls beat the guys!

What a stunning mare. Incredible race!

I hope they run her in the BCC.

She took off as if she was shot out of a cannon! Simply amazing PLEASE take her to the classic!!! Bring on the Pharaoh…

Goosebumps! Very nice job by Stevens as well piloting her home. A beautiful thing.

First mare to win the race. Perfectly named also. Love it when a horse lives up to their name.

A big shout out to her Breeders’ Clarkland Farm. A true “mom, pop and daughter” farm. They have been breeding very good horses for a long time. Their daughter Marty Buckner has been a friend for many, many years. Very unassuming folks. A rarity in the Lexington breeding business by and large.

That was absolutely beautiful to watch and beautifully ridden as well.

That’s one amazing mare. She’s at least 80% Nearco in her sire lines, but the non-Nearco lines are impressive.

Only caveat, though, is that she’s a California horse and doesn’t seem to travel well. The only times she’s lost since her three year old year have been her only races outside California. Given that, I’d still bank on Pharoah.

She was amazing when Stevens asked her to move… pretty much a hand ride down the stretch… I’d love to see an American Pharoah vs Beholder matchup.

They were definitely at the top of their respective games in their last races. I don’t know who I think would win the matchup.

Nice interview about Beholder with Gary Stevens a couple of days before the race.

Wow, impressive. Not just the move but her continuing to pull away. How did the time stack up?

And what the heck happened to Bayern? Went from just about a choke hold to spitting it out. He come out alright?

I’ve watched that video too many times! Need to get some work done  but thanks for posting it.

I haven’t seen her before this. What has she been doing? A very exciting girl!

So… Beholder or Rachel or Zenyatta… who would you put your $$ on??

Beholder and Rachel would likely wear each other out and set it up for Zenny but who knows?
