Best Of 2000 - BB Style

Moesha:

“Rule #1: Be nice, be respectful, be polite. Disagreement and discussion is fine; flaming and personal attacks are not.”

Name-calling is not ever welcome. Please see Jair’s post for an appropriate way to respond to an upsetting comment.

Hmmmmm, you may be right. Well, if any UJUMP members want to start some totally pointless topic, we’ll be sure to back you up and maybe even get you a little flame next to your post! Whopee! Haha!

Best Thread (Overall):

Most Informative Thread (horse related, of course!): Where ETBW is going to be with her next tailgate set up.

Best Thread-into-Action (goes to an idea/recommendation/thought that actually proved to have a positive outcome): DMK’s input on taking care of OTTB’s.

Most Humorous Thread: Colin and her ‘Horseshows, Utah style’.

Dead Horse Award (goes to thread topic that was rehashed way too much, should be banished for next year and NOT to be reopened here): I got soooooooo tired of hearing about meeting at Mosby’s.

Hall of Shame Award (goes to best deleted thread): Well, it didn’t get deleted but the Kelsy/Mexican thread was a doozie (I know, Kels…we forgive you.)

Most Improved Poster (goes to anyone who has improved deportment and exhibited redeemable qualities): Kelsy

Most Informative Member (horsemanship, training tips, etc.): DMK

Best Motivational Member: Jair has some ra-ra qualities.

Best Annoying Member (meant in a GOOD WAY!):
Hands down, Colin, although Moesha runs a close second, as exhibited in this thread right now.

Most Humorous Member: Colin

Most Sorely Missed Alter-ego:

Best Bud You Met from the BB (objectionable content or seedy scenarios do not qualify!):
Duffy and VTRider…awesome connections…

Best BB Duo: Colin and one of her harem.

Rodney Dangerfield Lifetime Achievement Award (goes to most maligned and misunderstood member): Probably Moesha. I think he means to mean well.

Best Lurker-turned-Poster:

Fashionplate Barbie Award (needs no explanation): Kennett Square for her tiara and ever-present smile.

Best recurring annoying topic that has nothing to do with anything: Underwear.

Kumbaya Award (goes to thread where everyone actually got along): Me, for creating the Pledge.

Member you would most likely call to bail you out of jail: Colin, because she would raise money for me if need be.

Member most likely to call you from jail:
VTRider because she knows where I live now.

Meriam Webster Trophy (goes to member who has proven a mastery of the English language - spelling still does NOT count):
Jair writes beautifully.

William Faulkner Medal (goes to member who best uses stream-of-consciousness, rambling, disjointed posts…but in a GOOD WAY!):
OK, fine, I give this to me too. But at least I do paragraphs!!

Shoulda Been There Award (goes to scenario that you missed, but was recounted in such wonderful detail, it made you sorry you weren’t there): Mosby’s

Group Hug/Warm Moment: (Here’s your chance to redeem yourself for making Erin’s life miserable. Write something great about how much you’ve grown as a person/rider/horse owner by being allowed to participate in this forum. (Must be heartfelt and hella sappy!) Erin’s pleas to get us all reined in possessed me to write the COTH BBer’s Pledge. I was so inspired that I heard angels sing.

Yay! I never thought my topic would last THE ENTIRE YEAR! I started that way back in February (I think…) because I didn’t know anybody and it kept getting updated You guys are awesome. Hehe I have become mainly a lurker since then however…Do you guys remember the old BB from like 2 years ago, when there were 500 people on it and other things? It was so small…tight…different. sniff, I miss it!

I can’t wait to develop enough of a reputation on this board that I’m worth mentioning, lol. But hey, I just arrived and I behave myself, so there’s not much to say. Well if the Chronicle board sticks around, then maybe someday! Or perhaps I should get an alter ego?<HR></BLOCKQUOTE>

I was just thinking that Erin - geez guys what do I have to do to get famous (or infamous) around here…is Becca really the only junior you love <G>? What about me, ErinB, and the rest of the gang who sit on the porch steps and steal the cidar from time to time? Huh? huh?

feeling very unloved…

Sarah

Regalmeans, Erinb, Becca and I know there are a few others so you’ll have to excuse me - I am constantly impressed by your maturity and intelligence. I think this is a wonderful forum in which to get comfortable with yourself. Keep it up, the board wouldn’t be the same without you.

Slightly off topic (for which the Anti Humour Brigade will probably flame me) but, what on earth does Kumbaya mean. Is it a Simba Lion King thing? Or was that more along the lines of Akunamata…“it means no worries, for the rest of your life da da da” Losing it now. Sorry for the off topic post but it was late.<HR></BLOCKQUOTE>

Canadians…<sigh>. It’s a touchy-feely, warm’n’fuzzy, hippie love, camp song. You’ll have to learn it for the veggie love-in protests. Peace. V<— really those are my fingers making a peace sign. I mean that.

Don’t forget to sway back and forth to the tune - sort of trancelike is best, I think. . .Perhaps a look of wonder on ones face, while looking upward. . . <HR></BLOCKQUOTE>

Ha- now I know what you were doing on that long run to the single oxer at Duke - singing Kum Ba Ya!
