Yeah, something’s up there. Probably not Down Syndrome as she previously claimed. I thought COTHers were mostly patient with her, as she always looks to pick fights (whatever the reason).

If you are not familiar with the situation a supposedly disabled person was “caring” for a mare that she knew was carrying twins. The foaling played for hours on one of the online barncams. It was absolutely horrific

I’m surprised there aren’t more Off Topic Day threads mentioned. I feel like I’m always seeing some wackiness during OTD although not necessarily lengthy train wrecks because of the limited time the threads are open. I do remember having to google Diva Cup at one point and that was interesting. :lol:

I don’t know if other people do this, but I’m pretty selective about what threads I’ll even open on Off Topic days. There is a little too much opportunity there for people to let their freak flags fly. 
The worst train wrecks I’ve seen there usually involved politics, and the one time there was an Off Topic day on Election Day, it turned out to be a particularly bad idea!! :lol:

Seems to me there have been some pretty good train wrecks about quarter horses in the open shows and how they would win at the A shows. In one of them, I seem to recall a video of one of Scott Stewart’s horses being posted as an example of a bad mover :D.

Okay I found one of the ones I was thinking of. Do a search in hunter jumper forum for “daisy clipper”. (don’t know how to link it) There was debate over whether Scott’s horse Crown Point was a good mover as well as QH debates. I believe Filly85’ added to the drama. I had forgotten about her

I was in high school when Burt posed on the rug. I worked as a co-op at an very large, international chemical company, and there was an ongoing battle going on there where this came into play. The loading dock guys had pictures of very scantily clad women hanging up. We all had to go to the loading dock to pick up deliveries, and so it was pretty public. When Burt’s picture came out, one of the women scientists hung that picture up in her office window (which was a glass wall fronting on the hallway), so you saw it every time you walked down the main hall. The men were having heart attacks, but they couldn’t tell her to take it down. Boy have work place rules changed since then!!! At the same time, I remember a report coming out on second hand smoke being dangerous and all the smokers were screaming that that report was a pile of bunk as they lit up in the workplace.
Oh God, Sassy! I never forgot that poor mare and the foaling with so many people in the stall. Poor poor mare… and what struck me most, was the fact that nothing could be said to help/criticize/vent… only butterflies and prayers… gah…
Suerte? Well, she is still my favourite mare and enjoying her retirement! That was such a great thread and many became friends and still are on that thread!

LadyCounselor…that was CellosPride. She’s not on here anymore, Erin banned her finally. She was nucking futs and has had countless frivilous lawsuits all over the place. She’s never won a single one, LOL!
She turned every thread into an argument about the ADA and threats to sue. This was her last post:
