Best threads/trainwrecks on COTH?
JoZ, I totally forgot about the “mexican crapping in my manure pile!” That was CLASSIC!

Surely, all the visible corn was a dead giveaway.

I might have missed it, but has anyone mentioned corns?

I don’t think so, MAD, thanks for the link. Has anyone else noticed that a lot of these trainwrecks start off with a duplicate post?

I think people were avoiding mentioning corns out of worry that the Korn Kween herself would magically reincarnate a new alter and show up. (like she has a habit of doing, LOL)

MMorgan, I’m not sure why but older threads always seem to show a double first post when resurrected. There wasn’t a double post when those threads first appeared, I think it just happens later on when searched.

I think this thread can now officially be renamed as ‘The Best (and Worst) of COTH’

I think all links are present now

Noooooo - somebody has to find the one where Chanter came back as an alter about a year later, both fists swinging, to dish dirt about the poor fool who had offered her a job and taken her away from her last “horrible, abusive employer”, only to become the latest horrible abusive employer - complete with photos of the scrawny foundered horse laying down flat in the dry lot. Or did the mods poof that one?

I know, how nasty was she? All that time there when she was supposedly “saved” and she spent it sneaking around taking photos trying to make her savior look bad. But then Chanter did get pissed because:
*there was a bad ice storm and that was all Chanter Helper’s fault
*Chanter was expected to care for her own horses
*she thought people were breaking into her apartment and rummaging through her underwear drawer

I give Chanter’s Helper credit for not slapping the stupid out of her.

IIRC I don’t think Chanter used an alter for that thread. I think Erin poofed it.

Allen the quadriplegic OTTB with Blinged Lego Legs

not a train wreck, but hilarious nonetheless. I much prefer the absurd and silly to train wrecks and snarkiness any day.

The Canadian invasion threads can be pretty funny as well.

That’s all I can think of for now.

I have a better idea.
I don’t get it. What’s your idea - just don’t read the threads?

The 52YO OTTB.

My favorite train wrecks are the ones that have stellar recipes. With this most recent cold front, I’m dying for some new wild game recipes. My neighbor is smoking a wild hog for us, it’s smells great but I’m thinking an apple & walnut type chutney would make it even better. I’m using a cranberry and walnut recipe, but it is for bird, not hog.

Try dried cherries and dried apricots softened in red wine with the walnuts.

oh gosh, I had totally forgotten about the corns!!
She was local to me and she boarded her horse at a friend’s place for a while… then she complained all over creation about my friend as well. No idea what happened to her or her horse.

Is the Easter Bunny thread still in favorites??

Not a trainwreck but hysterical!!

Ah! Here it is:

Some of these threads have me crying from laughing so hard. We need some more recent ones though…

Thank you Midge. It ended up kind of bland, dried cherries and apricots would have picked it right up.

There were more spectacular train wrecks in the past.

The current moderators tend to keep things more on track these days. One still slips through the cracks once in a while though!

We’ve had a few interesting ones recently that I was debating posting links to, but given that the OP’s are still running around I decided not to… :sigh: sometimes I hate trying to be a nice BB’er.

Yes, THAT Thomas.
That man was so abrasive, I had him on my ‘ignore’ list so I couldn’t see the nasty, mean crap he posted. What a blow hard!

Nobody has posted CBER yet. That was a guaranteed trainwreck. Every time I see Sam at a show driving her fancy pickup and trailer and using her $$$$$ camera gear I always wonder if it was paid for by “rescue” donations.
