Beware of some OTTB sellers, Churchill Hunt Club
That’s not true. I know many good people and successful businesses who file for Bankruptcy. It’s perfectly legal.
:lol::lol::lol:From your mouth to God’s ears:lol::lol:

Sure, every successful business model includes the occasional bankruptcy filing, just to keep things fresh and new.

Oh, we accepted her a long time ago.

Agree there are things here the industry doesn’t need…try looking in the mirror.

my best friend is one of the canadian selectors for the team, and as an american you WERE NOT! asked to join their team, plain and simple, that is a LIE.
you give people like me that are honest with the race horses we get off the track to retrain and resell a bad name. stop it.
CHC LIED? Color me shocked (not). We should all stand in a circle saying “Shame”.

I’ll start. Shame, shame, shame.

Oh dear. I work with businesses every single day. I can tell you, there isn’t a one of them filing for bankruptcy that is successful.

Maybe some of the big corporations…it allows them to dump their pensions and break union contracts. Airlines do it all the time. As for the little guy…no not so much.

IIRC The Donald never has taken a personal bankruptcy like most of us would do, just put some of his shell companies and those employees on the block while other assets are recorded elsewhere.

And CHC is no Donald. He has plenty of detractors for plenty of reasons and does not seek them out on the internet.

I can’t imagine that it would be possible for a person to “slam” the legs of a horse down with an amount of force even close to that sustained by landing off a fence, yet you are content to jump your young horses for sales videos.

It’s unbelievable what can happen. We have had three different vets look at a horse and three different opinions. First and fore most, our horses stay safe.

And just how do dissenting veterinary opinions on a PPE endanger your horses?

:lol::lol::lol:

oops that should have been “recidivist.” The typos/misspellings are contagious! (And I was drinking wine, too.)

Dear Mods,

Please let this thread still be open Monday when I return to work.

Amen.

Oh goody! A chance to offer a quote from my favorite movie (music and lyrics by Lerner and Loewe).

Look at her, a prisoner of the gutters
Condemned by every syllable she utters
By right she should be taken out and hung,
For the cold-blooded murder of the English tongue…

Please note that I am in no way advocating any harm to the offender of the English language!! I just saw a small opening to quote my favorite movie and I took it. Carry on.

I am not going to go back and search for the post but I believe she said she was invited to be on the Canadian Equitation team, no? They were inventing an event especially for her.

Cloudy-I think you have reached wine capacity when you misspell, and don’t realize and correct it. So you’re still good because you caught it and corrected. This thread is enough to make me start drinking, but fortunately they don’t sell booze of any kind on Sunday here (except that one very popular liquor store right across from the police station).

Carolina-that’s hysterical! Now if you get another chorus about messing up the classes they have for the Canadian Equestrian Team, I think it will be perfect.

This thread is so entertaining, it almost makes up for the tiny amount of show jumping they had on this afternoon. The only way I’m watching water polo is if they use real horses.

They closed the other one, dang it (and it was good, too).

Let’s just keep feeding it and see if it grows; kind of like a chia pet, or sea monkeys, or some other senseless nonsense. Hey, just like CHC!

oh no, mod1 is closing threads.

Well this has been fun, and horse related! Here’s hoping the book about crazy horse women picking on horse dealers and rescues becomes available soon. And is made into a movie. A comedy, of course.

And all the horses can go into witness protection, so they will end up with “forever” homes with the feds!

And, maybe it’s just me but I can’t find any trainer names on there or show results-except one gal in the New England Medals??? Long way from Central Ky.

The horses do look nice but…the ones that list prices seem high for an unshown prospect. There are some pictures of nice show horses but with no caption except that one in New England and that is just a persons’ name. Kind of odd. If I sold anything that won just about anywhere, I’d be plastering the results and the horse’s name all over a website with me listed as trainer in very bold type.

Seems there may be some questions about these people from others who are familiar with them. But can’t help with specifics despite showing in the same area for 16 years now-never heard of the Churchill “Hunt Club” and doubt they run any hounds.

Your right. We dont run hounds. We are a horse store and TB training facility. That is why we changed our name to churchill thoroughbreds. We dont do much showing anymore. Our daughter Geena shows somewhat. Its hard for her because she rides at Keeneland racetrack six days a week starting at five am. I showed from five years old until eighteen every weekend. All Medals, hunters, jumpers, jrs. Canada asled me to ride on their equestion team. I said know. 1. I ddint want to ride for another country. 2. I was simply worn out. I got married and had a family. Now I enjoy riding and training these young horses. I saved and found 200 horses last year alone good homes. I am happy with that. I love my simple life doing goods things for these horses. I have met the nicest people.

You know you are having a bad day when you misspell the word no. I guess that could translate to equestrian team or equitation team.

They use their tails. EVERYONE knows that.
