In my endless search for a new jumping saddle, I saw one of these at a horse show last weekend. Looks beautifully made, and it was comfy to sit on on the saddle stand. Unfortunately, I was just there watching, and my horse was 300 miles away, so couldn’t ride in it.
I own one! I have the paramour eventer (monoflap) and I love it! Nicely constructed, fabulous balance, wonderful leather.
I ended up with this saddle because I was having a very difficult time finding something that would work for my horse’s long withers and very short back that had a forward balance point for the rider.
And, because my horse is only 6, and only been in work for about 8 months, I know that his back is going to keep developing, so I wanted the flexibility of wool flocking.
My horse really likes the saddle, his back is very free and happy. Rider wise, the balance is very similar to my circa 2000 flat Butet. I ordered mine without any blocks
Sadly, I don’t have internet pics to show you, and you can’t really see the saddle super good on my youtube vids…

I sat in several down in Florida. It reminded me of the Black Country saddles. I think the dressage ones are nicer than the jumping. The leather is super yummy and then customer service seems good.
I swear I read somewhere that Nikki, the person who started the company, used to work for Black Country…
Beautiful looking saddles. Never got a chance to try one and probably won’t anytime soon since the price is a little steep for me at the moment.
No, they’re certainly not cheap. I was also interested in BC, but I’m trying to find one to try without paying to have it shipped to me (I don’t want to deal with the local BC rep :(). A fellow Cother had a beautiful BC Vinici Jump for sale, but I’m afraid to buy one without a return policy.
The decision is also going to depend on selling my Devoucoux.
I messaged Bliss via FB about their saddles, and apparently they have a cheaper collections called Loxley by Bliss. I think they’re trying to update the website site, but Nikki said she could send me some pictures of the Loxley collection. Apparently it starts at $2,600 (for the dressage).

LOL! Believe me I didn’t want to spend that kind of money on a young horse just starting his career! I must have tried 20+ saddles before we bought this one.
We tried Black Country too, nice saddles, but the balance on the saddle that worked for him was too much in the back seat and just didn’t work for me.
Oh, and it took only a little over a month to have the Bliss saddle made and shipped to me

I know this is an old thread but thought I’d pop in and share my experience: tried a 17.5 M tree Loxley dressage on my TB recently. I am in love with the balance and where it puts my leg (UNDER ME! BRILLIANT! No chair seat!). The twist is wider than I expected but I still find it very comfortable. The styling is very very pretty and the leather is lovely quality. Sadly the shoulder gussets are not long enough for my large-shouldered-but-very-narrow-behind-the-shoudler guy, and it bridges just the tiniest bit on him. So probably best for a horse without a large dip behind the scapula, and with a very flat back. I am sad as the fitter said due to the shape of the gussets she probably cannot reflock in a way that gives him the support that he needs. It’s a gorgeous saddle and I can’t decide if I should hang on to it in the hopes that I end up with a horse that it fits, or find it a new home!
Nikki used to be the manager for BC and now owns Bliss. The saddles are very similar. I had a bad experience with Nikki when she managed BC so I won’t buy from Bliss.

I really wish I had read this thread BEFORE I bought from Loxley?Bliss. Count me in the screwed over category.
You might want to read this thread again because nobody on it has had problems with the company.
I have a Loxley by Bliss Jump Saddle. Absolutely in love. Never had anything but wonderful experience with my rep, and with Bliss. It’s an absolutely gorgeous saddle that actually fits my LONG legs and my horse’s short back. My horse is one of the pickiest horses anyone has ever seen about saddles and he LOVES it! I will only order from Bliss for custom saddles from here on out.

I know two people who are in the screwed category. Rep sold them saddles that didn’t fit their horses, and refuses to make it right.
I’m sure they’re lovely, if you happen to get one that fits… like all other saddle companies.
