Blue show coats?

I’m having fun trying to find my dream attire (Three entirely separate, expensive, sets for each phase of eventing with all the matching beauty and bling to make…me homeless ).
I’ve decided that a light blue show coat is an absolute must (along with a custom mattes pad decked out with light blue trim and sheepskin) but can’t seem to find any that are still being manufactured or for sale second hand…

The coats I have found that are exactly what I want are the Spooks coat in ocean and the Animo Lou.
I’ve tried looking for these coats second hand, and while I’ve found two Animo’s (one is the Lou and the other one didn’t have its style listed but it’s the same color but with white trim that I honestly like even more than both the spooks and the Lou) they are both size 38IT which would be rather small… I don’t know if my arms or my boobs would fit lol.

My question is, where in the world have all the light blue jackets gone? Am I somehow missing where they’re being sold online? I see tons of royal blue coats but those are just too saturated for my personal tastes.
Please help me find the coat of my dreams! (that I’ll never be able to afford)

What about the AA Horseware MotionLite coats that come in the light blue? Is that too grey-ish for you?

And I have this coat in Berry and love it. The “hydro” color looks like a lighter (than navy) blue: https://www.smartpakequine.com/pt/horseware-competition-jacket-11008

I’m not sure which blue you’re hunting for, but I have a couple of lighter blue Animos, and my guess is that you’re looking for something like this? http://i1280.photobucket.com/albums/a484/PNWjumper/Facebook/2014%20Horses/10372970_10152513623883408_4687964260840386965_o.jpg

I just today got the horseware coat PNW mentioned in navy - great coat for the price. It’s not a super dark navy, so might work for what you want. The hydro color would definitely be brighter…

Here are the links for all the coats I have found that I like

Animo Lou:

And for the other Animo, it actually ended up being a navy but the lighting made in look like the perfect color (with white trim!)

What size are you looking for in the Animo? I think I might have two almost identical coats in that light blue in the 42/44 range. If I can find them both I might be willing to sell one. But also, I see them pop up on FB sales sites periodically…happy to keep an eye out

No way!
I’m a small in US sizes for most brands but since Animo is an Italian brand and I am not lacking in the chest area (plus I’ve got weirdly thick arms?) I’d definitely want to get a medium (42-44!) and get everything else tailored.
If you can possibly find these costs and are willing to part with them, around how much would you be asking?

Alersandro Albanese. It’s mesh, which is awesome for the summer. It’s a lovely light blue. I’ve been wearing it all summer in some crazy hot temps and it doesn’t make me any warmer than if I didn’t have it on.

I’ll send you a PM once I take the deep dive into my trailer tack room/hunt coat storage vehicle

Just saw a blue Spooks advertised on Facebook

RJ Classics has an Atlantic blue in their Monterey coat that is pretty close to what you posted!

I have this jacket in the royal blue, LOVE love love it. I got it on sale though, because its way out of my normal price range lol

For what its worth, I have the hot pink version of the Harrys Horse jacket. I LOVE it. Although its a thicker fabric, It fits well and despite hot pink not being as tasteful in everyone else’s eyes, I think its gorgeous.

Its SOOO cheap too. I have seen a few different ones of the lighter blue of this jacket in person and thought they were gorgeous. and for $50, how can you go wrong?!

Disclaimer, the “teal” looking one on the website was actually much more light blue and less electric in person.

I have a friend who show jumped in a royal blue coat and came very close to being eliminated as the TD (I think) said it was the wrong color.

where was this? I always showjump in mine.

I didn’t think there were colour restrictions in the jump phase?

I was told there was restrictions. An “off duty” TD at a schooling show made a point to tell me my coat was too loud to do anything recognized in. Granted I never looked further into it as I don’t have the funds to be worried about that right now

I’ve had some mixed results in regards to color restrictions for coats during the stadium phase. I know plenty of people who were showing novice/training and jumping in the very loud royal blue Kerrits jackets without any issues (to my knowledge). I’ve also heard that coats must be neutral colors (black, gray, navy, etc.)
Anyone know what the official rules are? I’d rather not get disqualified in future events even if I look great while doing so

http://useventing.com/news/rule-refresher-dress-attire-edition

The USEA has this refresher thing on their website. It does seem like they’re gunning for black, gray, navy sorts of colors. “Dark color” or “conservative color” are the phrases thrown around the most - and of course the pictures show someone in black coats - but I do think those phrases leave quite a bit open to interpretation. I mean, “dark color” narrows it down some, but how dark is a “dark color”?

My personal opinion is that while I do like the looks of coats in dressage and show jumping, we should start scrapping a lot of rules regarding colors. And a TD shouldn’t be able to eliminate someone for having the “wrong” color of whatever when the rules are actually pretty vague. (

Of course I wanna compete in a Barbie pink show coat so take my opinions on colors as you will.)

After double checking, ‘conservative colour’ is the rule in Canada… which is even more open to interpretation than ‘dark’… to the point that I don’t think it is of any use.

I have the harrys horse one in royal blue. I bought it for Show Jumping, its a fuzzy kind of warm fabric.
As far as I am aware there are only restrictions in dressage for ‘dark’ colours, and pink and orange etc have all shown up in rated GP classes.
Id always carry 2 jackets just incase though
