What is that point, that is so “exactly” stated by you misrepresenting the facts of the McDonalds coffee case?
That you’re the one they put the “don’t put your kid headfirst in a bucket of water” label for, or?

Again, very sincere question. How does one communicate with people they do not even imagine they need to communicate with?
@KBC that whole warning label is great, not just the circled part. Oh my. So many funny things.
You think there’s still an ounce of intelligent life out there that everyone thinks like you do and that everyone has common sense? Wake up! This is the reason stuff like this happens.
It’s astounding how ignorant this entire group is to that fact. It’s like y’all run around with rose colored glasses thinking everyone is the same when they’re not. Case and point this Susie scenario.
The ONLY communication that could have prevented this scenario would be the mane-pulling boarder ASKING PERMISSION to do this to the OP’s horse. Had she done that, she would have been told no and that would have been that. But the whole point is that she DIDN’T ASK FOR PERMISSION. That is wrong. And it is in no way the OP’s fault.
“Do not glue mat to porous surfaces such as pregnant women, pets, and heavy machinery.”
LMAO!
And here is the problem… since when is heavy machinery a porous surface? Darn them. What a confusing warning that is.
Seriously. I guess I can glue it to myself though right? Because I’m not pregnant.
“Do not taunt mat.” LOL!
I do believe you are accurate there. Please report back how it goes.
The first warning “Do not use mat as a projectile. Sudden acceleration to dangerous speeds may cause injury.”, do they mean injury to the mat or injury to those around the mat or maybe injury to whatever is causing the sudden acceleration?
Darn them, this warning is not clear at all.
I’m glad someone else went there, that was my first question!
Hey I’d doesn’t say I can’t use it as a parachute, so I guess that would be an OK thing to try?
@KBC, it also does not say you can’t use it as a saddle pad. I am sure that will end just fine for you.
KBC, I just visited High Cotton’s site. OMG those mats are hilarious. I think I have some holiday shopping covered. Thanks for that!
Because it’s not. Full stop. It’s no miscommunication. Miscommunication is a 2-way street. This is a one-way issue with one person to blame. It’s an issue of NO communication, from the brat to the horse owner. Period.
Can you please explain what, in any of the details the OP has provided, suggests the brat had any reason to believe that giving OPs horse a makeover - or even handling OPs horse - was ok?
We get that you think OP should have specifically told her not to, but as we have all patiently explained, there generally isn’t any reason to tell random people with whom you have no ongoing relationship not to mess with your private property.
So in your mind, what could possibly have been going through Susie’s mind to make her think altering the appearance of a privately owned horse who she had no contact with for the past 6 months was ok?
Follow up question. Has a friend or neighbour ever driven you somewhere in their car? Do you think that then gives you the right to go into their house, find the car keys, and take that car out for a drive whenever you feel like it?
I’m assuming it causes injury to the mat. Although…if it’s glued to me…dangit! Now I don’t know.
Yes. If Susie had communicated her intentions to the OP and asked her permission before butchering her horse’s mane, it would have prevented this entire scenario. Glad you finally understand. Hopefully that means the discussion is finished now?
Magic Carpet Ride - Drag Racing Edition
Totally, of course!
Yes hopefully bc that was my entire point in the first place yet everyone took it out to left field. Good grief
Maybe it was your poor communication skills. Your fault, obvs.
