Don’t see this news on the Dreamscape web site yet, but it appears that Bon Balou will be here for the 2012 breeding season - http://www.oldenburghorse.com/book/Bon%20Balou12.pdf.
Congrats to Dreamscape Farm!

Congrats to Dreamscape Farm!
Beautiful horse! Looking forward to seeing confo pics and video when available.
Perfect jumper pedigree, why is the photo presenting him as a dressage stallion?
I don’t know but at the bottom of the linked page it says that he will be competing in the 6 year old jumper classes in 2012. Looks like he has potential to be a good dual purpose stallion.
I had a fantastic filly last year by Bon Balou who we sadly lost as a foal She had the most fantastic temperament and was a fabulous mover, it was a terrible loss for us - she can be found on our website: http://www.camrosestud.org.uk/firefoxc.htm
Having met him several times in Germany, he is a fabulous stallion in all respects. You are very lucky to have him
Firebird,
What an adorable filly. So sorry for your loss.
Thanks for posting, great jumping photo of Bon Balou.
Thank you for your kind words Oakstable, it was a sad day when we lost Firefox
Bon Balou is fabulous - he stood at my friend’s stud in Germany for a season and I was lucky enough to go and visit him several times. He was a sweetheart in the stable and had fabulous paces and a real jump! I was so excited about Firefox but it was not to be.
I have lots of photos of him from my visits - you could never get a bad picture - he is superb!
Congratulations to Dreamscape Farm. Seems they are breeding & acquiring some exceptional horses!
Wow! VERY exciting! I’ve had my eye on him for a while. can’t wait to see more of him an his offspring.
Congrats to Dreamscape!!
Me too, Vita!
I have liked him from the first time I saw him, as well. I am excited to have him here. Can’t wait till DSF has his info up on their site.
So Excited! He is one of my favourites. I am so happy to have Dreamscape bringing so many great stallions to Canada.
I’ve liked him for ages and am thrilled he is going to be in BC in time for the 2012 season! He’s on the short list for my mare for sure!!
Lovely! Congratulations to Dreamscape Farm, and best of luck with him.
Perfect timing … we were just looking for a “husband” for our Hanoverian EMC approved jumper breeding program mare to fulfill her Elite Mare requirements. She’s black with lots of chrome so should end up with lots of jump and bling too!
Lovely stallion … what a string of boys at Dreamscape Farms! BIG CONGRATS to Jennifer and Armin!!

I second this! :yes::yes::yes:
Thank you everyone!!
We are very excited that we were able to acquire Bon Balou and bring him to North America. He will be flying to Canada the end of January along with Checkmate, they have already started their quarantine in Germany and with the Canadian quarantine requirements they will be available for breeding starting in March(towards the end).
We have added his page to our website, and we will be adding more (pictures/video) in the coming weeks. We do for sure plan to show him this year, most likely in the 6 yr old jumper division, and higher. We also eventually plan to do some hunter derbies with him.
If you would like more information drop me a line, I am always happy to chat.
Thanks again and Happy New Year!!!
Wow look at the knees/jump of Checkmate! I wish my phone would let me see the video…
I’m very excited for Dreamscape Farm to have this lovely stallion! I have a mare that would be perfect for him but I have heard he is more a sire for dressage than he is for the jumpers. I do have a mare that I want to improve her gaits but I do not want to take away from her jump. Is Bon Balou a good options? What about Checkmate?
For those of you who have seen him in persons, is he uphill? Does he have long fron legs?
