Are flares, maybe partially flared, coming back? My daughter found several pairs, new, not used or old, at an equine stuff . They are so comfortable.
If you find 'em, please post links, because I LOVE Cavalry-style breeches which were last fashionable in the 80’s. I still have my German “Kentucky” brand fullseats from that period, and mercifully they still fit. I’d KILL to find a current source!
(Some of our thighs in 4-way stretch do not enhance the landscape elegantly.)
Irideon makes them. Maybe not “flared” exactly, but boot cut at least.

Do you mean flared at the thighs or at the ankle? If it’s the former, I have occasionally seen vintage pairs on Etsy.
I would wear some flared-at-the-thigh breeches! Never the flared-at-the-ankle ones though, IMO those are just tacky.
Horse Country sold them not so very long ago. They might still.
Maybe we should start a movement to bring back the old style flared breeches.
Flared breeches at the ankle are common. They are mainly called Jodphurs and used by saddle seat people. Very comfy.
Flared at the hips? Those are retro! You can still find them pretty often though. Many British companies still carry.
Ohhhh wonderful. I remember and loved those.
Just imagine how many of us would look so much better in those!?
Horse Country also has these that are not quite so extreme. I have a few pairs of similar breeches that are quite elderly.

And these that are pale canary that I like even better.

If you can wear men’s breeches, HC has a whole bunch of loose fitting ones.

Certainly not cheap, but definitely classic.
Love those canaries.
Oh my gosh, the thought of canary yellow flared breeches brings it all back- worn with tall black boots, a white stock shirt and white stock, black melton jacket, black hard hat, and white string gloves, and my fifteen year old self beaming with joy because the show season was starting. Happy days.
These guys http://www.replicaters.com/ made some for me to my measurements for less than $100. Just email and tell them what you want and they’ll work with you.
I call “flared at the hips/thighs” pegs. Had a great pair of pegged jods from Miller’s. Aaaah, the old days…

Lovely, but that’s my TRACTOR payment!
OK, now if they were offered in full seats for dressage…
I used to find beautiful old wool breeches in the second-hand stores of Minneapolis. I clung to the pegged styles as long as i could.
For those of you who can wear a 26: http://www.ebay.com/itm/millers-equestrian-Horse-riding-Breeches-26L-26-long-light-Tan-/151730282854?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2353d46166
There are several pairs in size 24 on ebay under “Millers Old Stock” breeches.
Unfortunately, none my size.
For those than wear men’s breeches look at What Price Glory. Here are some examples:

http://onlinemilitaria.net/products/714-US-Breeches-Khaki-Cotton/?bc=no
They don’t come in “fun” colors (unless you think khaki and OD are fun colors ) but are well made, durable, and reasonably priced.
I’m not affiliated with the company and don’t get a commission!!!
G.
I have long thought Khaki and OD was invented because it doesn’t show horse slobber.
What’s not to like?

WPG’s breeches are actually made by Replicaters. They can make exactly the same style or with your modifications but from other colors and fabrics. I was skeptical about ordering something from India without a chance to try it first, but I was pleased with the results.
