breeches with logo on left thigh?

so watching the Penn Nat’l livestream, and I saw a lot of riders wearing breeches with a black logo on the left thigh. Both white breeches and tan. I couldn’t read the logo, it just looked like a black quadrilateral.
I saw a few of the same in the Del Mar livestream.

Can someone tell me what brand of breeches those are?

(and does anyone else find the black shape a little distracting when watching the ride?)

thanks!

At first I thought it was an unfortunate encounter with hoof or boot polish, but then realize it’s unlikely those riders had come in contact with either just before going in the ring.

I think you are talking about the equiline breeches

Equiline. I have one pair–love them but boy are they $$$

Could also be Struck breeches

Just read the quadrilateral part…NVMD

I don’t like them. But I’m not a 15-year old rider or a millionaire sooooo…

OMG THE RED ONES!!! My fat ass needs to lose some more weight and this will be my reward!

I find it distracting when I am trying to watch the horses go, it brings attention away from the horse.

Really? A tiny little black logo? I find that I barely notice them unless I’m staring at the riders leg…

Yes, it really takes my eye off the horse when I see that side of the rider… I think it also takes away from the clean, turned out look of the rider. JMO

Yes, I also do not like the black label on the leg.

HAHAHA Soo very true.

thanks all! I knew I could count on you.
Def the equiline.

I prefer classic turnout and the black triangle just looks a little odd. I also don’t like the dangling disk bridle/martingale tags, as I also find them distracting…

I first saw them at the USET finals. It is distracting! You think a rider got a spot of hoof polish or shoe polish on their leg. Especially the second day when they wore white breeches. After I realized it was a symbol I was wondering myself what brand they were as I had never seen them before. And I found it less distracting!

It’s the first thing I noticed when they walked into the ring.

A lot of riders have pants that have some of their sponsors logos on their pant legs, much larger than the couple of brands posted above. Never worn in dressage, usually just worn xc and stadium. Just another way to get sponsors names seen. Iv never been distracted by it at all though.

You could plaster the logo on your butt instead, like Kingsland. I find those logos distracting too, my eye seems to go directly to them.

I don’t like it just because I don’t think riders (especially hunter riders) need to start looking like NASCAR drivers with logos all over them. It’s already bad enough with some of the jumper riders (like Ben Maher, for example - love him as a rider, but between the Land Rover and Equiline and all the other logos he has monogrammed on his jackets and shirts, it’s like come on dude, enough).
