Breeders Cup 2022 - Keeneland

Is he going to retire now! I think he is the only one to retire undefeated since Personal Ensign. I did go to the 88 Breeder’s Cup and got to see that one win/
Uh oh I quess epicenter is not a finisher/ I saw those outriders going down the backside and I thought something must be up

Damn, I really like Epicenter. Hope he’ll be OK.

I hope we get an update before they go off the air

OK, he earned everything anybody said about him. Hope we see him next year but understand if he goes to the shed.

Fanduel did not cover the Classic, kicked the coverage to NBC from the minute they stepped on the track for the post parade.

Look at his demeanor in the winner’s circle. Ears up, interested in what’s happening.

Well, I think it is great that they are allowed to show as much as they do. NBC is one of the original groups involved with Breeder’s Cup. But since cable they have gone inheavily on college football and hockey, and a couple of years other sports were on and they couldnt get to the races!

He looked like he could have gone around again easily.

Spectacular effort by Flightline!

The update on Epicenter was tepid at best. I hope that his injury can be managed well enough to allow him a comfortable retirement.

“Domestic Spending suffered a serious pelvic fracture during the running of the BC Mile. He is currently stable and getting the best care/evaluation at Rood and Riddle equine hospital.”

He always looks that way. Amazing.

Oh, that’s not good to hear.

Epicenter was pulled up… :astonished: being tended to on the track as FL went to the WC. No info yet.

There are conflicting reports about the nature of Domestic Spendings injury. One says pelvic fracture, the other soft tissue high up. Since both stepped in to the van under their own power, theres hope.

Yes, front leg injury.

Flightline just outclassed the field, as he has in every race he’s run.

Heard here at the track that Epicenter walked into the van under his own power, sounds like a splint fracture.

Flightline was just amazing to watch. Such an easy running style and such class in the winners circle.

Report that Epicenter is on his way to Rood and Riddle.

I noticed that too! He was tossing his head and looking like “all that” and more. Love the boy.

It’s his fetlock that is injured, nowhere near his splint.

Just relaying what was being said at Keeneland. 🤷
