By half a nostril…

Tomorrow should be interesting. No giant upsets today bur plenty of good finishes by those considered “ lesser”. And what a gorgeous fall day with that late afternoon golden light you only get in the midwest. There was one shot from the drone with the shadows “racing” on the inside of the field rounding the far turn, stunning shot.

Yep. That was as close to a dead heat one can get without being a deadheat LOL

Wasn’t at the track today but spent a lovely morning at Lane’s End… Can I just say that Union Rags is a new fave? Wow, what a stunning horse.

Baffert can’t run at Churchill Downs for the first half of 2023 so no Kentucky Derby for him, and he is still suspended in New York. So no, not everyone has open arms as far as Baffert is concerned.

I really like Repole’s attitude towards racing and for his horses.

So do I. He loves the sport because he loves the horses. They aren’t toys.

Also a huge Union Rags fan! We have a mare in foal to him for next year, and another in foal to his son Catalina Cruiser. My goal is to breed good racehorses whom I would also like to ride, if they suck at running.

TV schedule for tomorrow

Breeders’ Cup schedule for tomorrow and where to watch. All the races will be live on Fanduel TV besides the Classic.
You should also be able to watch the live stream on the BC website & app.

Amazing day - even did well with my betting! Never missed after the second race… which means I will suck tomorrow! LOVED Next going wire to wire in what used to be the BC Marathon. Had him for the win as well! Sitting at a table of high rollers - a bit awkward at first but when I was doing okay and they were not… the awkwardness vanished! I told one guy to bet Forte as a sure bet… and now he thinks I am a frigging handicapping genius! The chalets are fun even if up the track from the finish and grandstand. But we can hang at the rail and for some races the horses warm up right in front of us. I gave a shout out to Harley - the Percheron/Appy pony horse - and his mom/rider burst out laughing and gave me a thumbs up. Way too much fun except for my aching feet… and it took a very long time to get out of there… but I am Zen and enjoying every moment.

I was too busy to watch very much today, but I did catch the Juvenile Turf Sprint. We have Fanduel+ (no cable, so no traditional TVG) to watch regular racing. I was pleasantly surprised to see they also had the Keeneland BC feed-- coverage was great! Much better than NBC fluff pieces and non-horsey features. Fanduel has the normal TVG hosts, and gives you the pedigree/breeder info that NBC does not. I don’t remember how much it is a month, but it is well worth it if you enjoy horse racing from around the world. I love watching Australian racing after the US tracks are done, and Swedish harness racing can be very entertaining too! Not to mention the British/Irish national hunt racing in early morning.

Goodnight Olive wins the F&M sprint.
Echo Zulu 2nd
Wicked Halo 3rd
CeCe finished 4th.

As a three year old going against older fillies and mares, Echo Zulu ran a good race.

I don’t care about the trainer or jockey, I just like Rich Strike. I saw his Derby homestretch run. I’d love to see him win again.

I’m not a fan of Maktoum or Faisal. I’m just looking forward to seeing William Buick and Frankie Dettori.

Well done Caravel!
