I’m in the market for a new bridle and am interested in thoughts on how these bridles work. Anyone using one?
I have one and love it. My horse who has mouth and bridle issues goes so much better in the Jump off Revolution than other bridles.
Ditto - best bridle ever!!!
Great to hear - did you keep the elastic band in the cheek piece? That sounds terrific and innovative and like something that would benefit one of my horses greatly.
I have asked for a little more information on the dressage bridle/throat latch and will probably order today; looks like they are on back order for at least a few weeks though. : (
How is this different from the Micklem? They look pretty similar.
Looks like a slightly different shape/size headstall, there is “an elastic band in the cheekpiece, allowing the bit to flex in the horse’s mouth” (from their website), and I think I’m able to remove the flash, which I do not want to use. The modified ‘flash’ seems to be a part of the Micklem that I don’t know can be avoided.

I did use the elastic band. I am not sure that matters too much in the overall use of the bridle. My horse had problems crossing his jaw and sticking out his tongue and he does not do any of is since getting this bridle. He always has “lipstick” now and seems super happy.
Can anyone comment on sizing please? I ride a pony…most cob sizes are just a bit too large. Do these fit true to size?
The cob size is fairly large, On the largest holes it will fit a standard/large horse.
Happy Talk, unlike the Micklem, the cheek pieces are separate instead of part of the caveson. Depending on the bridle the flash can be removed, on the Jump Off Revolution you cannot remove the flash. Having used both the Micklem and the Jump Off I can say my horse prefers the Jump Off. the crown piece is very large and has substantial ear cutouts.
If I read the new rules, a throat latch is no longer required for competition. Please correct me if I am wrong.
I know this is a little old but I wanted to respond to the sizing question since I see it a lot… they run on the big side. My 16.1h TB, who is generally between cob size and horse size, fits perfectly in their cob.
Here’s a pic of him in the Flying Change cob

I know I’m resurrecting an old thread, but I’ve been looking at the Flat Out Revolution model and am wondering about sizing. I have a big Arab who often has a hard time fitting into cob-sized bridles (I have to swap the browband for a full or oversize) and is currently going in a regular horse-sized Micklem. With the Micklem, the cheek strap is on the last hole (if there were room I’d punch another one) and the flash thing is snugged up nearly all the way. We used to have a Smartpak Plymouth Elite dressage bridle and it would adjust down far enough to fit him but there was a lot of excess leather flapping around, especially because it had a crank cavesson. Should I go cob or full?
Definitely cob! My mare fit into a horse Micklem but it was a bit big, however her PSOS is a cob on the smallest hole. They have pik n mix now so you could get a larger browband.
Thanks Jealoushe! Would you happen to know how long the browband is? It sounds like the cob would fit him but there’s always his giant, bulging forehead to work around. I can’t find any size information on the website, but maybe I’m looking in the wrong place.
I can measure it and post back for you.
Duh, never mind - I found the measurements on the listings for the separate browbands. I love the bling browbands!
Nothing to add on the sizes but my husband just got his eventer a Jump Off Reveloution bridle (not from PS but an exact model just cheaper) and it’s made a huge difference in her. She’s gone from picky and doesn’t want any contact but charges off, to soft in the bridle and a much happier and nicer horse.
Where were you able to get a cheaper version?
I’d love to hear where the cheaper version is too!
Is the elastic inset dressage legal? I thought the headstall had to be all of the same material or something along those lines! (I will admit to having skimread the tack regulations haha)
Happy to tell via PM guys
